5 weeks after circumcision and I haven't healed completely.

Hi guys, I'm 28 and got circumcised 5 weeks ago. There is no bleeding anymore, but the wound is still very much far from healed. Is still normal to still be applying the salt wash to it this late? And should I be showering normal (because I have been)???

Hi Reg, I’m not sure if you feel comfortable in doing so, but we aren’t in a position to assist or advise without seeing a picture of it’s current state.

Of course don’t feel pressured into doing so. But it may help!

Hi Reg90, I am also 5/6 weeks post circumcision. Nearly healed but swelling still there. Normal showering is fine just let the water run over the penis but not in full stream as that will be sore. My stitches dissolved on there own through body enzemes. Erections are still a wee bit painful and the wife masturbated me last week slow and easy but it was worth it. I had a regular check up at the docs today and he said it is all well and on course for full healing. The swelling however can take up to 6 Months to fully heal but I find ice compressions for 20mins every 2nd day does help. Also keep your feet slightly elevated as helps the blood flow. It is annoying waiting but I have been told it will be worth it in years to come . Got mine done due to phimosis. Hope this helps you a bit.

thank you soo much because I have this swelling problem still as the swelling has gone done but it hasnt dissolved into the skin fully and I was stressing that my penis looks a bit weird.
