Circumcision Question.

Hi Guys, it’s been 15 days since having the snip. And having discovered that it’s best not to have your stitches in no longer than preferably 2 weeks, I’m a bit concerned as I can’t see my stitches to see if they have dissolved on there own, as I’ve been soaking the little sucker in Dead Sea salt everyday.

When trying to retract my foreskin it feels tight, and I’m concerned that if I pull to hard on the skin that I may cause more damage.

A penny for your thoughts.

Thanks.

Stew.

Hi Stew, I’m also on day 15. I can see most of my stitches (I had a very low/tight cut). I went for a checkup with the urologist today and he advised not to take the stitches out yet. Although in many cases they have done their job after two weeks and can leave tunnels, he advised to (in my case at least) give them more time to work.

Thanks.

I think, I’m just curious to see what’s going on underneath. Plus I’d like to make sure it getting cleaned properly. Perhaps it’s to early.

Very understandable questions to have!

In my case there is 0 foreskin left, which is beneficial in monitoring progress, but it made for a very challenging first 10 days as the nocturnal erections were doing serious damage!

I had my stitches in for 3/4 weeks it’s absolutely fine also your penis is still very swollen take some ibuprofen and use a cold compress to reduce the swelling.

Don't fret mate. I remember when I had mine I was constantly checking up on this site and worrying that it was going to go wrong or wasn't healing right etc etc. My op was very similar to yours, I could pull mine back to see the stitches but barely, only just. Mine took about 3 weeks to go fully I believe, and I've had 0 problems since. Honestly, you'll be fine. Good luck!
