How long does prostatitis take to clear?

I know this question sounds a little silly, but I am here to receive advice.

Many friends around me are suffering from prostatitis, a common but painful condition in men, this disease bothers more than 50 percent men in the US, and some of them cannot cure this disease for decades.

One of my friends, who is really young and energetic before, has turned into another man now, I felt pity for him.

This is a big and professional health website, I want to know about this disease and I want to know how long does prostatitis take to clear?

It depends on the types of prostatitis.

Acute bacterial prostatitis is caused by bacterial infection so that it can be cured by antibiotics in six to ten weeks.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis is caused by bacterial infection too so that antibiotic medicines are helpful for it, and it can be cured in three months.

Chronic nonbacterial prostatitis is different, it cannot be cured by antibiotics and the herbal medicine Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill, can cure this prostatitis in months depends on how long it has lasted.
