It’s not too late to cancel it. What’s the problem you’ve having?

in reply to jimfromcalif

The foreskin will not retract..plus I feel a small lump under the skin

.just have fear of hospitals..But this operation heightens anxiety levels

Retraction problem can be fixed through simple stretching exercises you would do yourself. There is no valid reason to circumcise for tightness. Do you wish to keep your foreskin or not? If there is a lump, it can be resolved without circumcision too.

in reply to jimfromcalif

Jim..I'd like to keep it my urination is the issue,as you could imagine. The soft lump under the foreskin feels fleshy. Hospital say the medical team want me in for op😯

The skin will not retract much.

If I were you, I’d cancel the surgery. Putting the tissue under tension always causes it to grow, so stretchung the opening will work under the laws of nature which rule your body functions. The only obstacle is skin disease, of which yeast is most common. If your foreskin has never before retracted fully, and if you have no itching or cracking, you probably have nothing to prevent success.

If you can get two fingers into the opening, insert them and pull the opening apart gently but firmly. Hold five minutes, regripping as needed. Do this four times per day, spacing sessions apart through the day. In a week, you should feel a difference. Depending upon tightness and your diligence, you can be cured permanently in about 2-3 months, thus keeping your foreskin.

If there is a lump, it could be a cyst which can easly be excised under local anesthetic.

Jim my parts worked perfectly for years. Always adhered to cleanliness . I'm in my 50s , over the past year the skin ceased retracting. Thought it was an age thing.

If your medical provider thinks its better to circumcise, do not listen to one person on the forums telling you not to. Listen to your doctor, or get a second opinion from another doctor. Don't let a random person on the web tell you otherwise, for all you know he has no medical knowledge regarding your issue. Listen and consult your doctors.

Bingo..that'said it

There are stretching options if you can’t insert two fingers. Some guys use cotton swabs. There are commercially available tools also, specifically marketed for loosening tight foreskins. Phimocure is one such which has proven results Don’t give up on this. There are ways to avoid losing your foreskin.

I have read many professional health websites and my own GP on foreskin stretching, and most all say stretching renders only a partial relief from tight foreskin. Especially if its caused from an infection. There's no ointment that softens the skin enough to relieve severe tightness. Circumcision or dorsal slit is the only way to totally relieve the phimosis or paraphimosis.

Not true. Those sites are propaganda to keep surgeons in business. The laws of nature dictate that skin will grow when put under tension. My archived website has 15 years of documented success stories. The new site already has such reported. Infections are curable.

My Circ' was done under general but I had a follow up biopsy under local. You basically like back and let them get on with it. It was quite bizarre laying there talking to a young Nurse holding my Penis but I could not feel a thing. It will be fine.

Jagled . .cheers mate. What'should the biopsy for

It’s whatever you prefer but I preferred to have general. The first 3 days are ok but the night time erections are enough to make you cry and you have 3 a night but the second week isn’t so bad. Just keep an eye out for infection.

What pain did you get afterwards when the anaesthesia wore off?

For how long ?

I read varying accounts but many say the pain is excruciating for weeks afterwards and not relieved by the tabs given.

Amen

TA FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

LET YOU KNOW RESULTS.

Whyey, I had the biopsy as there was a risk of penile cancer, which was why I had the Circ'. All fine now but worrying times.

When foreskin was pulled back there was a large red 'blotch'. It was not sore, but itchy, the red area was quite soft compared to the rest of the shaft. It turned out to be Zoon's Balantitis. Apparently symptoms are similar to cancer of the Penis. I could have waited whilst trying cortisone creams but it was a bit of a panic at the time and all done very quick.

Haven't read all.of the comments but I did see that your foreskin doesn't retract and you can feel a lump. I could occasionally feel a lump on the top of my covered glans and after the surgery I was told I had something called BXO and it was likely the skin being irritated due to that. Basically incurable but removing foreskin removes the issue, you'll be fine mate they look after you really well since it's such a sensitive place to have an op. Good luck

Your very kind ta mate. T

Good luck buddy you'll be fine. When you see urologist before your op, ask them to come see you after you wake-up to talk you through it as I didn't get this service and was left in th dark about a few things.

Dear no worry.. I won't say it will not pain. But at the beginning u will feel the pain but it's quite OK. Need not to worry at all. I faced the same condition this Sunday. Monday is got circumcised under local anaesthesia. Need not to worry at all. It perfectly fine. Better don't get panicked and follow my condition. Do conversate with the nurses. You wont feel any pain after 10 mins. I wish u all the very best.

Hidden, I'm 68 and developed a tight foreskin that was extremely painful when erect. I tried the stretch method with Q-tips and fingers for several weeks with no results. I finally,u with some reluctance, had the circumcision four months ago and it was the best decision I've ever made. I don't miss it at all. Contrary to what some say, I haven't lost any sensitivity. It really wasn't a big deal. Just my personal experience. You do what you think you need to do. Its your penis and dont let someone you've never met make the decision for you. Let them do what they want with theirs. Listen to your real medical professional.

Quite a late age to develop a tight foreskin. If it was not previously tight, what was the reason for the change?
