Painful ejaculation

When my husband and I have intercourse, its painful when he ejaculates, And his penis is sore, and red. Also sometimes has a little cut on his foreskin.

Could it be thrush or something similar, I had that many years ago.

If he is in pain only during ejaculation, i do not think it can be thrush, or maybe the thrush is responsible for the sore penis but not for the pain during ejaculation.

How's the pain? where is it? is it burning, or aching? or what? Does he feel pain when he urinate?

A burning feeling inside the penis or on the tip during ejaculation (and urination) could depend on a urethral inflammation (bacterial urinal infection?)

A burning feeling inside the penis or on the tip only during ejaculation makes me think of an infection of the semen.

A pain/burning sensation in the pelvis during ejaculation could depend on the fact that the pelvic muscles squeeze the prostate; if it is inflamed, it can hurt.

A sense of heaviness in the groins and/or testicles can be linked to an inflammation in the semen pathways, with possible partial obstruction.

Is the quality or the quantity of semen affected?

Urinalysis, and urine and semen cultures should be done in my opinion.

Of course a physical examination of the sore penis is also advisable

Maybe a US scan of all the system (testes, bladder, prostate etc.) can be useful

I had similar to that, just the cut on my foreskin. Problem with it was when it healed the scar tissue would tear again, it was so painful and erections made it even worse. Had a circumcision in July and it was fine, and things are so much healthier down there too now.
