Prostate problems

Am in late sixties and Just had bad news from PSA test (5.1), done as part of annual suite of blood tests. Early days yet apparently. No urination problems but I have low level intermittent pain in groin area which GP hasn't commented on and I can't really find any on- line references. I thought, hopefully, it might indicate Prostatitis. Anyone with similar experiences?

Although mildly raised, this may not be cancer, although it will require monitoring, exclusion of infection and possibly further investigation. One good thing is that you have been alerted to investigate at an early stage. However you will have a few months of waiting to know the significance of this result

Many thanks for your encouraging words
