14 pubescent. Cannot pull foreskin back behind head soft or erect.

Hello everyone,

As you can tell from the title, I am 14, started puberty but I cannot pull the foreskin back behind the head yet. I pull it back as far as it can go (without being to harsh ect.) to clean it in the shower. I don't want to get an appointment with the GP (That would involve and extremely awkward conversation with my parents which I don't feel comfortable doing.)

Is there anything I can do to pull it back or ease it, and how long would it take?

Is it a serious problem?

Will affect me in my future life?

EDIT:

After stretching for about a day, I have been able to pull it nearly all the way back. Now however I have encountered that the top part of my foreskin is attached to the head. Is this some sort of problem or is it from where it isn't possible for pulling it back when you are a baby?

Firstly, at your age unless you are experiencing any other problems or pain then I should not worry. You are doing right by gentle pulling back in the bath or shower. Do not force anything. Some people on here recommend various creams which may be worth a try. For me it made no difference, I could not pull back until my twenties, and this happened unexpectedly whilst having unprotected sex with my Wife to be. At first it was difficult to pull back up but it became easier. Sex, when old enough, with a condom was not a problem. I just put it on over the whole penis. If it really is troubling you, you could visit the Dr on your own, just ask for a chaperone, which should be offered anyway. But at this stage in your life I do not think it is anything for you to worry about and should not cause you major problems later in life.

Thanks for your answer, it has been troubling me for some time now. However since posting this I have been able to pull my foreskin back when flaccid after a day of stretching it. However my foreskin seems to be attached in some place which causes the other non attached part to roll back. have you had any experience of this and is it normal?

Yes it does sound normal. The skin attached is almost certainly the frenulum which is meant to be attached. It will stretch over time. I had the same issue and it was 'cured' after having sex for the first few times - though it was a bit sore at first to be honest. Now it rolls back no problem. Hope this helps

Oh okay thank you. I will give it time and keep stretching.
