Right foreskin operation

Hello

I have been suffering with right foreskin for couple years finally got the news of a surgeon at malton hospital that I can have a circumcision. My main question is how long will I be waiting till I get a letter with my date as the longer I wait my foreskin is only getting tighter. Hope someone can help knowledge me.

Youre supposed to get treatment within 18 weeks from your GPs referral if they ae able to meet their waiting list targets

My gp referral was couple weeks before my consultant with the urology surgeon. Then he said I need the op. Then I had to ring waiting list deprtament to give dates am on holiday and that June and July and September. which takes me to 18 weeks is July? So hopefully will be before June? When would I get the letter how long before actually op day

You would usually get at least a week's notice, but very variable.

I going to my G.P about a circumcision. I would contact the appointment centre to see if you could get in sooner .Take the day off work

Mine was within 48 Hours ! Urgent due to cancer risk.

I wish I had longer to consider other options.
