My husband is 27 years old. Recently, he feels pain in his left testicle. It seems very tender these days. His lower abdomen and lower back are painful too. Is this prostatitis?

Possibly. It can be difficult to diagnose and in the chronic type also difficult to treat. It sounds like he should see his GP for a urine test and exeamination which may include rectal. Meantime it's paracetamol and ibuprofen.

We went to see an urologist and was diagnosed with prostatitis. My husband is allergic to most of antibiotics, so we decided to try a herbal medicine called Diuretic and Anti-inflammatory Pill. Hope it helps.

Could his left-hand scrotum be bruised after an accident perhaps? The left testicle hangs lower than the right. I was bruised with inevitable extreme pain when in a supermarket. I turned into an aisle and was met by a trolley pushed by a youngster, whose mother was very apologetic.

Prostatitis is also very painful. Does your husband have pain when urinating? (This is also a symptom of cystitis.)

No, there is no injury in his scrotum. We went to an urologist and was diagnosed with prostatitis. Now, we are going to take a treatment.

Get to the doctors .

It can be prostatitis and if your husband experiences pain while urinating or ejaculation ,he should see his doctor and it can be serious if left untreated.

Thanks. We have gone to see a doctor and it's prostatitis.

Judy, it seems women rather than men have offered you the most successful advice. How does that happen? Could it be that that most nurses are female, perhaps??

Regardless, I have every hope of a happy outcome for both of you.

Try high doses of zinc 30 mg 3x a day and 2mg copper for a few weeks. Also cut out spicy food and caffeine. Ibuprofen too for 10 days. Hot soaks in a tub. Stay hydrated. Refrain from sex for a couple weeks to calm the prostate down. Do squats and pelvic stretches.

Been down this road on/off for 8 years.

It could be the prostate tell him to book a doctors appointment. The prostate is tested via a blood test 👍

Kidney stones? I've had kidney stones before and the first time I got the pain it felt just what you described. Go to the ER if is too much pain.
