circumcision - day 6 - help/advice

hi all, post circumcision day 6 due to phimosis, and have a suspected infection. It is healing well but there is a strong smell which is likely infected and have been put on a course of antibiotics. The topside of the shaft is swollen and still cannot retract or see the stitches, is this normal? Any advice will be extremely helpful.

Hi im on day 5, I have donut ring swell between the glands and wound incision.. was told they are normal.. having lots of discomfort.. my frenulum was removed as well hence that site stings from time to time.. I was given antibiotics for 10 days since day 1.. not sure if this helps but this is what I’m currently experiencing.. also antibacterial ointment being applied to the wound area twice daily..

Thanks Joxai for your response.Sounds similar to me, I think I may have pulled back on the swelling a bit much and irritated the wound, I have noticed a bit of blood from the incision site. I have a wound check appointment tomorrow, hopefully all is well.

That's great, i think the blood on the incision is pretty normal. i have them too but dried up.. hope all will be fine for your tomorrow wound inspection.. Can't wait for all this to fully, i do not even want to wear any brief of boxers because the feeling is just unbearable.. All the best tomorrow!!

Hi Joxai, so inspection went well and it looks like the wound is healing well. There is still a bit of bleeding behind the area of the swelling but the nurse did say it was normal. No sign of infection now so I guess the antibiotics are working, but have to finish the course. I am feeling less pain now but the sensitivity is still there, not as much as before I can wear my boxers for at least a few minutes without any gauze.
