3 days after circumcision.

Hello everyone. 3 days after circumcision it has swelling is gone up on side of the frenulum like a ballon . Slept only for 2 hours last night due to sharp pain coming and going? Shall I be worried?

I’m on day 11, I’ve still got swelling. But it has eased a bit. I was told by by doctor this is normal when a saw him a few days ago. This inner foreskin swells between the stitches and the head of the penis all the way around including by frenulum.

Ok Thanks. One more thing - I am struggling to clean properly as there is dry blood(there is a black circle aroud head) and pain when I touch the head. Can it become an issue if it it not properly cleaned for few days.

I’m not sure as every doctor seems to advice different, Different methods of circumcision require different things, so best speak to your doctor, on mine I was told I could shower after 2 days (very light spray)

Agree with below, one though, depending on suture material, a small amount of blood could have dried around suture “knot” Try and gently cleanse per Dr instructions, especially that area. Glans will be sensitive for a while, you will be fine I am sure. Further issues, call Dr-as stated we all heal differently. We are here to support and offer our experiences. Compile them and follow post circumcision guidelines. You should have gotten some, I hope from Dr

I was circumcised 3 days ago and I’m experiencing the exact same thing as you. I have a swollen pink ring between the head and the skin. I also have dried blood patches near the frenulum. Did you end up cleaning them or did you leave it. And how did yours turn out ?

Hi. I have made almost 90% recovery. I had to use fucicort 20 mg to stop bleeding of penis head and redness. Unfortunately forskin is attached to penis head and still some swelling is present. Doctor said it will go after few weeks. My case can be different from yours as ny foreskin was attached to the glans. And I sure the doctor who did forst surgery didn't know shit about what he was doing.

Don't worry you are fine. I had the same problem with sleeping first two days. 2nd week was a whole lot better. I'm currently on day 17th and I still have quite a bit of swelling doesn't not seem to go down really for now.

It sounds like you're going ok mate. I am on day 8 and it is still showing signs of swelling.

Regarding the black blood/gunk, this is what I had around the stitches for a few days. I stood under a warm (not hot) shower and jusy let the water naturally run over my penis. Then with a flannel I patted very gently the areas which massively helped clean it up. I the used a hair dryer afterwards to fully dry the area.

The swelling is fine too as others on here reassured me around day 6. I've been making better progress the last few days. A great tip if you'd like . . .

So I had some real trouble with sensitivity it was so sore at night like you too. So, I brought a hockey cup!!! It has made things SO much better. When I'm mobile or in bed now I put a bit of non stick padding around the wound area and tip - fixing gently to allow some bratheable space with some microtape and then wear the hockey jockstrap. The cup is perferated so still allows the inclosed area to breathe which is key. This has stopped too much contact from clothing or my body and Im finally sleeping well.

Thank you bruv. I will buy that cover asap as a could not sleep out of fear that I might hurt the wounds while taking turn. I can also feel that stiches are breaking and blood is seeping out because foreskin is swollen like a ballon. Wonder if that can cause some issue?

I think because of swelling and I have been there, you will feel tension on sutures. Drs are aware of this. I did break any sutures. Mine was long ago. But try to keep area clean and dry. If a suture does break or any other issues call Dr. Everyone heals differently. For me especially around frenulum was very swollen. My suggestion was face back to shower as glans will be very sensitive. Pat and keep clean. I exposed to air as much as possible. For me 6-7 weeks I felt better, nocturnal erections are something we all had to deal with. Best of luck, call Dr if any issues. You will heal

I am in an emergency now. Dr coming to see me soon. Nurse was saying that they may have to re do the stitches and burn the skin to stop bleeding.. Don't want to go under the knife again.😢

And yes it is a rough time initially. Time I say again, it is a process that differs for each man circumcised as adults. Keep someone updated if you desire-and I have found my own support on other sites on this 5 star app, some amazing people for many heath issues-warmest regards and healing on your journey. Eventually, you will be able to support others if you choose.

Got re done the stitches by a new doctor. He said that it was a wise decision to come to emergency. There was blood leakeage and stitches were very tight. Antibiotic is also given this time. Was kept in the hospital for overnight. Atleast it doesn't look as bad as before. Well cared this time for some reason. Don't know if you get looked after better in an emergency or it depends on the doctor. Hope toget heal in few weeks time.
