Phimosis?

I believe I have phimosis, I am 21 and have never been able to when erect pull my foreskin over my glands. I have no redness or irritation and can pee absolutely fine but am thinking of going to the gp as a urologist i just can't afford the consultation fee. I am wondering what a consultation at the gp's will be like and if I have to show my foreskin?

A GP would not be able to make a diagnosis without taking a history and performing an examination. So yes, you should expect to be asked to show your genitals.

But they will have done this before...

So don't delay seeking advice.

PS: It is glans not glands. Very common mistake, full name is Glans Penis.

Hi again. I no what you mean it does not bother me but there is no shame in it but everybody is different I have 2 sons and 1 daughter my eldest son is 33 he would not want to go and get is Willy out my youngest son he is like me in does not care and my daughter is same but you will be ok trust me I had to be circumcised at 60 got phimosis and ballantis I must have gone to the docters 16 times inside of 12 month but he is all sorted now and fully operational go to docs and sort it you will be fine take care and good luck

Hi yes you can't belive you get to 60 and have to have your old man chopped but belive me I have been to he'll and back I had that many infections and it damaged my skin they was no alternative it was the best thing to do I am very happy now he as healed and fully operational

Hi no sti or anything half way down my shaft he look liked he had been it with a hammer and the pain was unreal I could pull my forskin back flaccid but not when I was erect I could not use it they was too much damage

The consultation will most likely be treated as an office visit. And most likely, the doctor will need to take a look. There is nothing to be ashamed of. We all have some type of problem. And the doctor has probably seen things that are much worse than what you are suffering from. Keep you head up and get seen as soon as possible.

Don’t worry, mate. Your GP has seen more genitals than you can imagine, so don’t be shy. I had had the same problem (phimosis & paraphimosis) before I had my circumcision. My primary doctor took a look at my penis to determine what the issue was and then he referred me to a urologist. My urologist told me that I need a procedure done to get ride of the problem otherwise it’s gonna get worse when I’m older. I decided to get it done, and now I’m so happy with the result. I no longer have problems and feel more confident. For the cost of having circumcision is rather expensive. The total cost of my procedure was about $13,000, but luckily I didn’t have to pay anything due to my insurance. I would recommend you to have a good insurance or at least check the cost of doing it with your doctor before having it done.

Wow, Is that cost of the operation in US dollars? I'd rather be happy tax-payer. Total cost of male circumcision here in Finland at University hospital is around 1000 e, but you need to pay about 160 e. In private hospital cost is around 800 e, but you pay the whole bill.

Lucky you. And yes, here in the US, you are more likely to die because of medical bill than the illness itself. Nothing is free here unlike Europe. Just to see a doctor, you need to pay at least $200 which is about eu 177 If you don’t have any insurance. We’re miserable taxpayers.

I was the same as you however I left it until late 20s due to embarrassment. Although I could wank I have never had sex. I had my procedure 5 days ago and I feel a real sense of relief. I won’t lie to you the pain isn’t the easiest but also it is more uncomfortable than anything else. I have a feeling this will be the best thing I have done. I have a long road of recovery ahead of me for the next 6 weeks however I am feeling positive

I am glad that you have found relief! I am at one month now and also glad I had it done. I have masturbated 5 times already ( probably should waited longer) and everything is working just fine. After two weeks of recovery, it gets pretty easy after that! My biggest problems were the night time erections and being horny everyday. Other than that, it has been an easy process. How long did you find for the sensitivity to go away? Mine seems to differ day but day. Yesterday I could walk okay with my bellend rubbing And it wasn’t too sensitive but today it feels more sensitive.

Yeah! There are days that it is still sensitive. At times I think it is pain but I know it’s the glans rubbing against my underwear. So, after one month it is still sensitive but tolerable!

Best to see your GP to make sure but don’t be too worried about it. I don’t know why people see something natural (different types of penis foreskin) as such a negative thing. I am 33, I can retract my foreskin when flaccid, however have never been able to retract when erect. It has never affected me in any way. I have 2 kids and have an active sex life with my wife for 15 years. I am not an expert, but I don’t see why you should need to get cut unless it is causing you difficulty in certain area’s.

Hey man I have had the exact same issue as you

I am 19 and had severe phimosis I could barely move my foreskin over the head and was told I needed to be circumcised.

Because Of corona (I live in uk) there is no minor operations so I would have to wait a long time.

I said fuck it I stretched my foreskin every day twice a day for 2 weeks it was painful but you must persevere and now I can fully retract it erect.

Remember skin can theoretically be stretched Way beyond wha it’s suppose to be. Think of loose skin from really obese people. It will get better you should need to stretch twice a day and i assure it will be fixed in no time
