Hi, I'm 28. Struggling with erection difficulties for about 5 years. I've got a tight fernum and forkskin, I get 70% hard then lose it straight away. I've taken viagra to get hard and on every occasion my penis hurts and I'm in pain my fernum pulls on the left and makes a bend in my penis, my foreskin is also stuck behind my glands and cant pull it back. See photos .Yesterday some red blood like dots appeared as I pushed my right side down to make my penis straight ( tight fermum bends my penis to the left). Went to see doctor and tried explaining but he said my foreskin is good it was just mentally and in my mind and need sextheropy. Fair enough because of my past when I was 16 17 I had erection difficulties and was on cialis they offered me sex therapy but I refused. I stopped using cialis after a year and everything was all good until 5 years ago. But I know I've got a problem and it not mentally, I should never get pain when I'm erect. I said I want to see the urologist and he said ok just for my peace of mind so know il just have to wait. What's your opinion on my tight fernum? And paraphilomis? . Just need some advice , I'm really considering a frenulopasty and a preputioplasty/ circumcision.

I’m not cut, but I’d say in your situation you’d be much happier to get circumcised. I’ve been considering it.

That's definitely an option. Do more tightness and pain, do you have a tight fernum / foreskin ? What's your reason for thinking about it ? Cheers

I think my foreskin was tight when I was younger like 14. I stretched out the skin with my fingers. It now retracts just fine and I have no issues. I got married 6 years ago and always wondered why my orgasms weren’t the greatest. I started retracting my foreskin and did that for months. It was pretty uncomfortable because I could feel everything on the head. After a couple months it wasn’t as sensitive and I noticed better orgasms. When I have sex I always retract the skin all the way back. I’ve noticed that my head isn’t as sensitive and even after an orgasm it can still be stroked when before it would hurt to touch it. Hand jobs feel amazing when the skin is all the way back and there is way more sensation on the head and frenulum. It still feels good when the skin rolls over the head but nothing to when it’s completely pulled and head back. When I was a kid I remember literally just playing with the end of the foreskin would cause me to have an orgasm. In my adult age it still feels good but is nothing like it was as a kid. Anyways, all that said, it seems like the foreskin is more in the way of sex and feels better when it’s not in the way. So that’s why I’m debating getting cut.

This isn't regular phimosis though, but frenulum breve. I'd look at frenuloplasty.

Hi there,

I just had my frenulum removed at the start of the year, I was considering getting circumcised but my urologist told my to try this first, I’m very happy with the results and sensitivity around the frenulum area has increased, I also keep my foreskin retracted as I have for my years!

Hi,

Did you have a tight fernum? NHS or private did you go down? Cheers

Miko78 profile image
Miko78 in reply to Cymro1990

It was tight yes, not as bad as yours though, I went private

in reply to Miko78

Do you find it easier to stay retracted without your frenulum (I did)?

Miko78 profile image
Miko78 in reply to

Yeah definitely easier without Frenulum

in reply to Miko78

My sensitivity increased after my frenulum was removed as well.

Why do you keep your foreskin retracted? I find that very uncomfortable if it's not hard.

At first it was a little uncomfortable but get used to it after a little while, I did to reduce sensitivity of my glans, and when I need sensitivity back you just pull it forward again for a few days. I start doing just after a few teammates got circumcised in our rugby team I played as a teen, they keep saying that they last heaps longer which is true but also is harder to get hard after a few years they told me, that’s why I did want to get circumcised myself

I've heard that some Japanese men try to keep their foreskin retracted, but I've never heard of anyone doing it in Europe or the US, unless they're preparing to be circumcised.

Everyone's different, more there than anywhere else, but for me at least, the glans itself isn't that sensitive, especially not compared to the frenulum and inner foreskin. Pubmed 17378847 suggests that this is also the case for most other men. Staying retracted when soft is really really really uncomfortable for me, but it's the inner foreskin being exposed that causes the discomfort more than the glans being exposed.

The evidence is mixed, but some studies have shown that circumcised men are more likely to have a problem with PE btw. I'd be more worried about ED later in life than PE now though, and PE can be treated in lots of ways without surgery (eg with numbing sprays or creams, edging, or for younger men, a "safety w-nk", which features prominently in "There's Something About Mary").

A lot of people seem to have unrealistic expectations of how they should have sex from watching porn btw. Most men can't do what porn stars do, and most women don't want that. I had a girlfriend who said her best ever lover never lasted longer than about five seconds of penetration, but made up for it with extended foreplay, which usually lasted an hour or more.

Solve the problem with skin expansion. willywellbeing.com

I don’t think your foreskin is too tight. The frenulum on the other hand is definitely too short.

You could always get your frenulum released and see if that solves the problem.

Hi Man, your frenulum is tight if you had the frenuloplasty I think that would help too loosen your foreskin as well or maybe your considering circumcision. I'm not sure are your glans adhered to your foreskin just on the left-hand side of your frenulum?

Cymro1990 profile image

Yeah frenuloplasty I'm pretty guaranteed to have not sure about my tight foreskin tho. But my glands swells up when erect and foreskin is tight and stuck behind my glands, doesn't go back. Not to sure frenuloplasty would sort that out. Preputioplasty or a circumcision maybe

MrMac99 profile image

Yeah a frenuloplasty I think it would release your foreskin somewhat. before I had my circumcision my frenulum broke and is released my foreskin quite a bit, it will help I think.

Was it just a preference to have the circumcision? It feels better I should imagine

MrMac99 profile image
MrMac99 in reply to Cymro1990

I needed to have the circumcision I had lichen sclerosus. everything feels so much better now it was so much trouble before I had the circumcision, I do perfer it now.

in reply to MrMac99

Circumcision mostly gives a permanent solution for foreskin related problems.

I had a tight frenulun, and went for a circumcision. I was able to keep the frenulun, and it's now much looser. Feels great too!

Hey man I just had a partial circumsion and I had a tight fernulum do you think that will solve the problem I barely have any foreskin left at all and when even a little erect it retracts all the way back. He kept the fernulum intact and before surgery it would tug and pull when I would try to have intercourse.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to Moneymundi

Sure it was just a partial? Sounds more like a full circumcision, or maybe you didn't have that much foreskin to begin with. You'll know soon enough, but if it's still too tight after a few months, you should tell the doctor and see what they suggest. Mine is still a little tight, and I'll soon be getting a few opinions on whether to go for a revision, or leave it alone for now.

Okay would you get cuts around your fernulum during intercourse for me it was almost impossible I haven’t tried intercourse after surgery since it’s only been 2 and a half weeks

Moneymundi profile image
Moneymundi in reply to Moneymundi

I’m mostly worried about the fernulum

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to Moneymundi

Give it more time.

Circedandlovingit profile image
Circedandlovingit in reply to Moneymundi

No cuts, but my frenulum is more pronounced now and it feels like a small bump. It's been four months, but I need more time before deciding on a revision. You need to give it more time. My Urologist looked at my circumcision two weeks after it was done, and wants to see me a month from now.

Might stretch the foreskin but not the frenulum.
