Hello, it is possible to have TB infection more than once, though this is not common. The most important factor is that the infection has been fully treated with antiboitics. In many cases these antibiotics need to be take for up to one year.
Whether a shunt is removed or not is based on the individuals condition and something to discuss with the doctors.
