Has anyone found anything that helps with constant lightheadedness?.

Relief from constant lightheadedness
I know what you mean - it’s bloody annoying, isn’t it! Personally, I keep mine weighed down with a hat.
🤪
Seriously though, I do genuinely feel a slight comfort in wearing a hat even indoors. No idea why it helps, but whatever...
Even more seriously though, have you had your blood pressure and blood oxygen saturation checked recently? My stats are fine so my lightheadedness is not down to that, but it’s worth checking as it might be signs of something fixable.
At present I’m looking online at temporary jobs to see what I might be able to cope with, as I can’t imagine doing my old construction job with this squiffy head - far too dangerous.
Lol, thanks for that.
I would like to get a part time job but don't think I can cope for long with my head like this. Doctors are quite dismissive of it, which is not helpful.
It’s a shame your doctor is unhelpful - perhaps they feel it “just the meningitis” and that you’ll just have to be patient with your recovery process.
If you’re not just referring to a constant dizziness (which is a vestibular problem with a variety of causes and solutions,) then lightheadedness is basically about not quite getting enough blood to the brain. This creates a sense of falling or being about to faint. Maybe this link will help:

Post-meningitis it might be that your heart is not so strong as it needs to be. Rest might seem a sensible idea, but so too does gentle exercise, regularly and persistently, to help the heart regain fitness. I really think you should press for your doctor to at least help you understand your condition, and better still to refer you for further physiotherapy. Depending on what the doctor finds as the cause of your head’s sensations, a good Physio can either help the brain relearn its sense of balance, or your heart its strength.
Good luck with all that!
I've found two...and only two...solutions. Excedrin Extra Strength and Goody Powder. Both are over-the-counter in the U.S. I start with HALF the recommended dosage and that usually works. If it doesn't, I take the other half of the recommended dosage. Hope this works for you...
I am nearly 11 months recovering from bm this last week as been the best I have felt my head doesn't feel dizzy it's a weird feeling you just have to rest as much as you can I do hope yours feels better sooner rather than later take care
I suffer perpetual light-headedness. It drives me. Crazy and ive had several accidents.
Todsy 15 months on i saw an ent. He gave me a set of vestibular exercises to help improve connectivity but he decided iny case it is likely postural orthostatic intolerance presyncope.
He is also referring me back to neuro to do some precautionary tests.
I found its reduced with increased salt intake and addressing some iron and vit deficiencies i had.
Do chase the symptom down via ent referral as there are treatments to help. I just hope the exercises actually work.
Thanks for that Starry, always good to hear positive feedback.
