Is there still any possibility that a TB meningitis survivor could still walk and talk?

Hi! I'm Jaz, and I have a very young niece who had a TB meningitis last 2015, she's just 3yrs old that time, we we're so glad that she survived after all she went through, but as an effect, she became paralyzed and bed ridden, she can't talk, walk, see, or just even sit, we feed her like a few months old baby, now she's 6 yrs already yet there's still no signs of going back to normal, the advice is therapy but to be honest we already don't have enough funds to bring her back to the hospital, so we do it by ourselves by exercising her limbs, when we went again to a pedia, they told us that she could still take the therapy yet there's no assurance that she could still go back to normal, I'am really saddened by that, I'm still hoping that she could still go back to a normal child co'z I really love my niece like my own, she was abandoned by my irresponsible sister and was left to my Mom's care, now my Mom already died she's now under my care and my heart really aches everytime I remember the past when she was a very jolly kid who always welcomes me with a smile, calling me 'Tita' after work or everytime I was home, but now she couldn't even speak anymore, and whenever she cries, she couldn't even tell me where it hurts.

Is there anyone here that could answer me if there's still a chance that she could still speak or even just sit? I just really wanted to know. Thank you.

I believe so! I survived bacterial meningitis. Drs didn’t think I’d ever get out of a wheelchair. I now walk, can run a little and also speak after losing the ability to do that too. I hope down a full time job too. Keep a very positive mindset, encouragement etc as you are doing. You sound amazing. The brain is such a complex organ, it keeps healing for years, especially the younger the person is, so I truly believe there is still a lot of hope for your little niece. Bless you all, wishing speedy recovery and more power to you xx

He was so a miracle. My godson it’s like my third child, his had that chance that his parents are really wonderfull but if I was in your position th only thibg I could say it’s don’t give up, she really need you, it’s hard of course but everything you did had a impact for her. She’s so young and vulnerable. 🙏🏼
