Hi Nicki

I’m so sorry to hear this. I can tell you’re very worried about your friend. Sounds like he is v ill indeed.

All I can advise is to ask lots of questions but he should be prepared for a long recovery.

Please keep me posted??

His LP is normal now doctors suggested him to go for a EEG and MRI.

what do u think now why doctors are doing this and still he have fever and neck pain I guess neck pain is due to LP but no other thing is happening to him like rashes etc but yes he said that he doesn't remember few thinks and I talked to him he is fine in talking and does not have nay speaking or photophobia.

I am very worried for him..!!!

Hi, my son had a slow build up to bacterial meningitis. It started with an intense and persistent headache accompanied by a stiff neck, hearing loss, sickness and light sensitivity. The LP showed infection, meningitis wasn’t diagnosed for a further 3 days. However, he was lucky as he was put on the right meds from the start of his admission; that decision saved his life. He didn’t get the rash either. The LP is the only way they can differentiate between viral and bacterial. Hospital is the only place to be in that situation. I wish your friend well, it’s a scary time...
