I have been told my daughter has PTSD, does anyone know how to get help with this, or what they should be doing to help her. She has not had her COVID vaccines yet either.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Time to talk is NHS run if your in the U.K. or speak to a charity who supports those with ptsd but you’ll appreciate in the middle of a pandemic it’s going to be so much harder
Nightgale hospital - they specialise in this?
Hopefully the diagnosis came from a psychiatrist, the only person qualified to do so. With an official diagnosis it will be easier to access the right therapeutic help, such as art therapy, in the right setting. If this diagnosis came from elsewhere it may not be wrong but I would seek out formal diagnosis as a gateway into support services.
I agree with the above. If the person who told you she had PTSD is not medically qualified to make that diagnosis eg if it was a family friend or a care worker etc then she will need to be referred for official assessment by her GP if they think that is appropriate.
The NHS is very proactive in getting everyone vaccinated and have been for a year now. The people who are responsible for your daughter’s care will have dealt with this. If your daughter has been assessed as having capacity to decide about her vaccinations she may have been vaccinated and chosen not to tell you, or she may have decided not to have the vaccination. If those responsible for her care have decided that she does not have capacity to make this decision herself they will have decided in her best interests and will have had her vaccinated - or not - as appropriate. If your daughter is assessed as being able to decide for herself, her Carers cannot discuss this with you without her permission.
If your daughter has PTSD she needs help and support from people who are trained in trauma informed care. She needs love, kindness and patience and help with coping with the trauma she has experienced. If forced to have vaccines against her will it will only add to her trauma and only make it harder for her to trust those responsible for her.
I agree with the diagnosis been made by a professional psychiatrist. I know someone who has PTSD but doesn’t have a learning disability, they had EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) and EFT (emotional freedom technique) therapy to help them.
EMDR is a very intense therapy that makes you revisit the trauma and allows the brain to move towards natural healing, my friend found this very helpful but it was quiet intense and distressing at the time but she has learnt techniques on how to deal with past traumas.
EFT is using your fingers to tap on your meridian points, this was much more beneficial as she can do this anytime she becomes anxious. Unfortunately the GP wouldn’t refer so she went private but it was expensive. EFT is on you tube and shows you how to do this and is free.
I hope this helps, there is lots on information on google and you tube for both of these techniques.
Good Luck.
