I am registered disabled and am a cleaner in a school but am employed by a small company now we are key workers because school is open a bit but I can not put on gloves myself as one my hands is immobile and social distancing means my colleagues cannot allowed to help me right now. My boss is nice and kind and she always gets me things all the time to help me with cleaning before the disease happened and now she is trying to get me a cover for my other hand that health and safety people say is ok and allowed and I can put on myself with no help needed but until she can I cannot work as I am not safe to myself or all people in school because of the disease. I am not furlow now because my boss wants to find a solution but it is hard for her. We tried the biggest XL gloves and I can't do it without using my mouth and that’s bad and not allowed. Do I say to her to make me furlow because of gloves so I stay safe? I like my boss I want to help her like she helps me by making a good choice for me and her :)

Hi A massive thanks for your role as a key worker during this terrible time. Your boss does sound really nice and obviously finds you a very valuable part of the workforce. I think I would discuss with her the possibility of being furloughed as your unable to go to work under the circumstances, you both want the best for each other during these difficult times. Take care stay safe and thanks again.

Thank you very much for your nice reply it made me very happy. I am going to tell my lovely boss to make me furlough I insist I volunteer! We spoke once before about furlough at the every beginning and she said if it ever came to it she would pay the difference of my money I think the 20%? She is an angel in these dark times and I will miss her because furlough means no contact with work? Thank you for thanking me and I am going to pass on your thanks to my boss and my 2 colleagues who are still working so hard everyday even the upcoming bank holidays! You take great care my friend :)

Your very welcome, the clap at 8pm is for all key workers and every week it gets more emotional with fireworks, and cars tooting, very proud of you all. Stay safe and best wishes. x

Can you not get someone at home to help you and you can take them to work and come home and take them off?

No that’s not allowed :( PPE gloves and all ppe must be put on with in the place of work and removed with in the place of work to stop possibly spread of disease Coronavirus
