Hi, All I'm becks I have autism and a Learning Disability and Challenging Behaviours I'm 29 years old. I thought I tell you about some of my past. When I was 12 years old I went to Mencap In Sutton a after school club. I had this great bond with a member of staff called Asma We were like stuck together with glue. A few years past I was also best friends with another member of staff called Carole. We were stuck together too. When I was there we would throw balls at each other from the ball pit. I went to Pantomine's with them by coach to London. Sadly when I was 18 ( I think) I moved house with my family. And have no contact with either Carole or Asma. So I did live at 3 supported living places. But didn't work out good for me . I am now back at home with my family around me. I have carers who take me out Monday to Friday and we goes charity shopping in charity shops. I also like car boot sale's in the summer. Or when there on. Not now with COVID-19. I'm sort of taking time to treat my family and go to the local shops if need be.

Hi Becks. Nice to meet you. It is a pity that you are missing Asma and Carole. Hopefully you can make new friends that you will like. I see that you have a busy social life, good for you. My name is James. I am a full-time carer in Greenock, in Scotland. I am also an early years practitioner, I am doing a course in level 3 working in mental health, this will make me an early years educator. I am involved with a couple of mental health groups. I hope that you are feeling good today.

James

Hi Becks, nice to hear from you. Good to know you are keeping busy and occupied. My daughter Kathryn has a severe learning disability, she is missing her day centre and her friends, but mainly not being able to go shopping. Stay safe, stay well and be happy. It will soon be over and we can all meet up with our friends again.
