So, can I go for a walk or not? This is massively confusing. So worried by the idea I can't get a short walk.

I suggest you talk to a family member or someone in your support system who can explain things as there are issues depending on your age and health issues and as I don’t know you it’s really difficult to give the correct information. Please get in touch with someone who knows you well to get the right advice. Take care

Hi Freddy44

Exercise, and getting some fresh air, is very important to a lot of people. I always feel a lot better after a quick walk.

The coronavirus guidance is changing everyday. I have looked on the Government website to get the latest about this. It says

1. Staying at home

You should only leave the house for one of four reasons:

* Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.

* One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.

* Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.

* Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.

These four reasons are exceptions - even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.

These measures must be followed by everyone. Separate advice is available for individuals or households who are isolating, and for the most vulnerable who need to be shielded.

If you work in a critical sector outlined in this guidance, or your child has been identified as vulnerable, you can continue to take your children to school. Where parents do not live in the same household, children under 18 can be moved between their parents’ homes

I found this all on here - gov.uk/government/publicati...

I really hope this helps.

Stay safe and well.

Sarah

Good morning Freddy44

You can go for a short walk on your own or with other family members who live in the same household as you for 1 hour only if you are over 70 years old different rules apply best people to ask is age concern co.uk or the government website . Then you can't go wrong . Enjoy your walks but keep 2 spaces or more to the people near you. Good luck and stay safe always. Peter

Yes you can! You can even go with another person so long as they live in your house. Just avoid contact with others eg. Cross over the road to avoid closely passing someone.

When you come home, wash your hands thoroughly.
