hello thomasmuir

It sounds like it would be good for you to talk to someone about this. Our helpline has trained advisors who can talk you to you about the issues and help you make a complaint.

You can call our Learning Disability helpline on 0808 808 1111 or email: helpline@mencap.org.uk.

The National Autistic Society (https://www.autism.org.uk/) might also be able to help.

Please let us know how you get on.

Hi again

I have been in touch with our helpline. It would also be worth contacting the Adult Safeguarding Team, Adult Social Services to let them know what has gone on. You can contact them yourself.

Other people who many be able to help:

* policeconduct.org.uk – to escalate a complaint about police conduct.

* liberty-human-rights.org.uk – advice on complaining about the police.

* policeactioncentre.org.uk – advice on complaining about the police.

I hope this helps

Sarah

My name is Norman, and have a positive diagnosis for "Asperger Syndrome" and am an OAP and was targeted by the staff and customers at my local swimming pool. One of the customers threatened me with violence while I was in the building about what he was going to do to me I told him to get on with it, and he backed down! But when I exited the building he was waiting for me and threatened me again, I put my swimming bag down and he then drop kicked it, unfortunately I retaliated and kicked him, a short scuffle ensued when I managed to subdue him. Unfortunately this was captured on the building CCTV. A police officer came to my house a few days later and I expressed remorse for retaliating to the bullies intimidation, and naively accepted a police caution? But then I found out that no action was taken against the bully? As this incident was six of one and half of the bully and challenged the CCTV footage which then became unavailable? The police caution was issued by police officer with the same surname as the bully?
