Hello there

This online community has been up and running for nearly 6 months now. We are delighted that so many of you have joined us (there's over 700 of you now!!)

Your posts are amazing. Thank you so much for making this community such a success.

Very soon I have to report back to my bosses about how the community is getting on. It would be wonderful if you could let me know what you think about the community, and how it has helped (if indeed it has).

Just a couple of sentences will do.

If you'd prefer to share your thoughts with me privately please just message me.

Many, many thanks

Sarah

Sarah, I wanted to thank you and Mencap for all your work in developing and running this network, which has been so helpful – both in terms of offering specialist information and in addressing the isolation that many of us feel.

It is the first time I have ventured into social media and I wouldn’t have done so if the network hadn’t been endorsed and monitored by Mencap. It genuinely has created a sense of community which I haven’t experienced before as a carer and has also given me a strong personal commitment to Mencap as an organisation.

Thank you - it really does make a difference.

I have not asked a question here. I get the digests emailed to me and I've occasionally offered what little advice I think might be of use. One day I may want to ask something and it's reassuring to know this forum exists and that Mencap exists. Please tell your bosses that this forum has value to me and my family. Thank you.

I find it really good as I don't belong to any carers groups or suchlike. It's a really valuable space to let off steam, share experiences and ask for advice.
