Moved scans

So the scans were moved up. Brain MRI and PET. Not for any particular reason, like I’ve said Ryan feels fine given the situation. His oncologist wants to make sure nothing is brewing. We asked if they were concerned, and if that is why they are moving them. I think it may be a good opportunity to have these now while treatment has been delayed.. I have no idea :/ thankful we get them sooner, but uneasy. They didn’t say they were worried at all. Just being precautious I suppose since his cancer spread so fast last time.

A great deal of medical crap lately.. my aunt just developed lung cancer on top of having MS, and my best friend of 20+ years has been seizing for 4 days in the hospital..

When it rains it pours..

Hope everyone is doing well, will write again when scans are completed

Sorry you’re having to keep umbrellas at the ready. Sounds like moving scans up is appropriate and hoping, always, for improvements. But No matter what the news, we remain a support community.

Peace

How is your husband doing?!

Thank you guys ❤️ it’s been rough. My first cousin had a brain aneurysm rupture as well. She was in medically induced coma, but got the call she’s up and walking now. So god is good. My best friend is also out of the hospital as of yesterday, and Ryan’s blood work looks pretty good as far as I know. We have an appointment with our CRNP today to go over everything. His ALT is down to 54, almost normal range. So his liver is recovering fast I think. His WBC is up to 5.5! Highest I’ve seen it during this whole journey!

So light is starting to defeat the dark. I hope.

How’s Wayne doing missy?!

How’s mark?!

Kelly, wow sure sounds like you have been dealing with an awful lot of things lately. Sure glad to hear your cousin and friend are doing better. Yes, the light is shining on Ryan. When these meds kick in they are amazing. Enjoy everyday. Thanks for asking about Mark. He is doing ok. We are a little stressed I won’t lie about just waiting until June 5th for his scans with no treatments at all. I am praying that everything is still good on scan day. I’m not sure what is next for Mark. I do believe he is at the end of the road for the Opdivo which frightens me a bit, but we are trying to stay positive, and enjoy every moment of everyday. We are walking in a 5k tomorrow at the OC Marathon for John Wayne Cancer Foundation. Should be a beautiful day.

When are Ryan’s scans? I know they are going to be good 🙏🏻 Praying for you all.

Scans are the 7th! Both of them. Which I didn’t know he could do both the same day but I guess he can. Since Ryan is young and his body is handling pretty well they jumped him down from 80 to 60! And will do 20mg jumps. Blood work was REALLY good. The liver is getting back to normal.

I am looking forward to hearing about marks scans! I’m sure they are good as well ❤️ when there is nothing to worry about no pains, etc, those are the best times :) sun screen for the 5k! I put so much on Ryan when he is in the sun. Always makes me nervous 🤦🏻‍♀️
