Half Marathon PB

Really pleased tonight. I went out after work and felt really strong. Kept my pace comfortable and felt in control all the way. It was super windy and wet. Got a PB of 2.01.34 which I'm delighted about. Running has given me so, so much and I'm really grateful. My 4th HM run and best both time and feeling wise.

Wowsers GTFC, what an epic run. A HM just for the sake of it, in the wind and rain. 💦 💨 Not only that, but a PB to boot. Fabulous! 👊👏 🎉

Excellent, after a hard day at work you go out and run a half marathon as if it was just a gentle run in the park, a PB and all that in the wind and rain, congratulations on that PB time of 2.03.41, you deserve to be very pleased with yourself.

Now go and celebrate with whatever you want to. 😊 🏃🏾.

Fabulous! That's a great time, and to do that after a day at work would be amazing, even without battling the weather! Congratulations of a fantastic PB - you just earned yourself a great weekend!

So impressive!

in reply to RunUsagi

Thank you. I certainly felt good. All those runs that don't quite go well lead up to ones like this.

I'll try to keep that in mind as I hobble around the house today!

That’s brilliant! Fab time there 💪🏃 Those weren’t easy conditions so I’d love to see what you do when it’s calmer and in a race....wheeeeee 🙂

in reply to Irishprincess

Thank you. I think that's the beauty of running. Even though I'm quite new to it all, I think that the way you go out each run in all weathers makes you feel like you can take on anything. I had the wind beside me or as a headwind yesterday but I've run so many times in it that is seemed normal. Best wishes to you.

Great run GTFC - you are certainly on a roll at the moment and it's obvious how much you love your running! Well done on another fantastic run!💪🏅 🙂 What next I wonder?

in reply to Sandraj39

Thank you! I think I'm going to try slowing down now with some attempts at heart rate running to see if I can run even more comfortably and see where this takes me. HM distance will be my maximum and now I'll just experiment.

Will watch with interest - never used heart rate training myself - good luck! 🙂

That sounds like the perfect HM run GTFC, and what a brilliant pace to keep up for 13 miles, very well done 👏👍

in reply to Run46

Thank you so much. I was pleased I could keep it up over the distance!

Wow! Another PB after your 5K one recently. Brilliant stuff. One of the great things about running is the variety in distance/speed you head out of the door for each time and how each distance seems to help another 😊 Satisfying stuff! Well done.

in reply to Celeriac

You've hit the nail on the head! Everytime I go out and go where it takes me. Freedom is terrific. Long slow ones are my absolute favourite. Thank you so much.

just seen your post GTFC. Wow what an excellent time for your HM. The fact that you say you enjoyed it is amazing. Congratulations 💪👏👏👏

in reply to Buddy34

Thank you Buddy. You inspire me as much as anyone. I really loved it up until 10 miles. I felt comfy at the pace and strong. Ialways find the last 3 miles iffy 🙈

Wow! That's amazing! You really are on a roll - sounds like you're truly settling into your running and have found a combination of different runs in your training that work for you. In any case, well done! 👏👏
