One of my daughter's friends sent me a link to join this Vitality Running World Cup. While the cynic in me said 'huh, just a marketing exercise to give my email to running companies' ... my heart said 'yes, why not .... and who am I to turn down running discounts anyway' 😍😍😍
Anyone fancy contributing some kilometres for their country?
I joined a few weeks ago. You get a goody bag when you do the 10k qualifying run in March. It's too late for me to worry about my email address being sold, I'm all over the internet like a rash. Anyway, if you get spammed, unsubscribing works now - unless you're being contacted by Nigerian princes wanting to put a million pounds in your bank account. I'm game to join anything that keeps me motivated and not subsiding onto the couch with a lap full of junk food, so I reckoned it was a good thing and not costing me anything. Some celebrity runners are endorsing it.
I agree Flick I've already sold my soul to the internet. I suspect the goody bag is actually a whole host of discounts to encourage us to spend more money, but I suspect we're both man enough to rise to that particular challenge 🤣🤣🤣
I signed up a while back. I don’t mind the emails, sometimes they are useful and I can unsubscribe! I just like having incentives to run!! You can create “clubs” in it as well.
I remember seeing this somewhere and if I’m going to be running anyway... why not... I will probably sign up when I get a chance x

I've been signed up for a while now 😊 And with a 10k and half marathon in March I think they may come in handy if we get through to the last 16 and the semi finals 🙏
