This was meant to be a slow 13K but given that I now have a HM booked in November๐Ÿ˜ฑ and I felt (relatively good๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ˜‰) at 12k, I decided to push on and run another 10 miles.๐Ÿ™‚ My legs felt better this time and 'the knee' kept quiet for most of the run, which was a bonus! I ran a mixture of road and trail and included a few hills to challenge me too๐Ÿ˜ซ. I think I need to get a bit more adventurous with my running routes though, as I did a fair bit of 'looping' today to make up the miles....which was a bit boring!! ๐Ÿ˜•๐Ÿ™‚

Speedy, speedy! I had to start mixing up my routes as the runs got longer (same with rides); the sense of adventure and exploration made the runs more exciting and were a useful distraction too :)

Yep, have planned my next long run. It's an out and back but somewhere I've not been to before!๐Ÿ™‚

Early days, but having been given the go ahead to build up running again, I'm now enjoying redoing C25K - w2r1 ticked off today :)

Great running and great speed too.

I did 2 laps of a park in the middle of mine to add some distance.

I had a nice route worked out on onthegomap but when I got where I should have gone over a bridge I could see it but couldn't find how to get there from where I was...so park laps filled the gap : )

Wow, youโ€™re not hanging about are you! My 10 mile last week was a disaaaster (cue Craig Revel Harwood ๐Ÿ˜‚)......but I did get the distance.......

I did spend sometime yesterday working out a plan to get me from 16 to 21k in time. Looks doable - as long as my knee stays happy!๐Ÿ™‚

Very speedy! Well done! It really gets the confidence up when you can do it again and again! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜

Super run Sandra.. and yes, those loops can be a tad boring... mine usually involve running around the station and the stream near my home... over and over again..

Well done you..lovely pace:)

Yes, I have to stop doing too many loops!! I have planned an out and back route for my next long run - but to somewhere I've not been before, so am quite looking forward to that. Need to plan a few more big circuits!๐Ÿ™‚

Trouble is, as our runs get longer we need lot of area to run in... and as we get speedier, ( did I just say that? ) even more so :) xxx

Brilliant pace Sandra. I need to expand my portfolio of runs too. I did work out an optional hilly front end to my normal run which adds 2k, or 4K if I add it on to the end too! Changing is tough though given my one non negotiable criterion... every run must end within cool down walk distance of a flat white and triple chocolate brownie! ๐Ÿ˜‹

Sounds very sensible to me!๐Ÿ™‚

Thatโ€™s really interesting about the looping as I always think where can I go thatโ€™s further when actually when i start getting much further I could just go around twice ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well done on your 10 miles ๐Ÿ‘

Wow, fantastic pace Sandra! Well done. Yes, it is difficult to find longer routes . Sometimes I misjudge the distance and end up running round the houses - literally!
