This is an actual picture of me running at the weekend. It was very soggy! I don't think I've ever been quite so drenched, my shoes are still packed with newspaper and looking a bit sad. How about you? What are your plans for the week?

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week. Please join in the discussion!

If you're new or a lurker this is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Happy running!

That dog looks very wet but doesn't seem to mind the rain ☔, I ran my second Parkrun there on Saturday, my time was 34.17 compared to 34.16 on my first parkrun. What's a second between friends. 😊 🏃

Hi Sqkr,

Your a trooper.❤️

I promised that 200m Crown.Maybe this week.👍👏👏

Just watched The Iron Cowboy, 50:50:50, James Lawrence.

Interesting 50 Triathalons, 50 States in 50 days.

If interested google and watch his interview.

Another trooper Sqkr.WOW.

Limits, what limits.🙈

We need him for our round the moon challenge.🤔🤣.But the forum will do OK.👍👏👏

Happy running everyone.

Day 1 of my revised HM plan post op.

20 minute slow run. Still a bit sore.

4 weeks to go including a taper so 3 weeks to get back up to speed and distance.

Hmm..

Really don't know, feeling a bit lost after my achievement, already giving myself a tough time for being a bit slow...

Was gonna get out tonight but the sky opened as I pulled up at home and was already feeling tired. Wish I had gone now, we only regret the runs we don't do after all.

Need at least 2 runs if not 3 this week. Let's see.

Be kind to yourself Jo.

Just go with the flow and let your super achievement wash over you.

You can do anything you set yourself.

👊💥🏃‍♀️⭐️👏👏💪✅

It's true we do only regret the runs we miss but sometimes your body is telling you to rest maybe? I bet you get your 3 runs in though. 😊

Hi, today was the start of week 3 of my 8 week ‘half’ plan. I avoided the rain ☔️ and ran comfortably for 40ish minutes. Rest day tomorrow, then I’m moving up a group at running club on Wednesday! 😳

Looking forward to following other runners progress and following tips on here. 🏃‍♀️

Wet underfoot and chilly this morning! I needed my jacket for the walk home. Made a change. Just a 5k to check that last week’s effort hadn’t done any damage; thankfully all was well. So now the big decision; do I push on a bit from 10 miles this week, and if so how far, or leave it for a while? I met one of cheekychipmunks’ secret agents in the cafe. She said that I should enter a local HM at the end of September. Not happening !! Is there no escape ? 😰

My back has been a bit niggle, so I am being a bit cautious about running this week. So I'm only going to do 2 runs. Hopefully a PR this Saturday as I haven't been for weeks. My other half has been smashing it though, and has just done his first 20 min run on C25K. So I'm proud of him. I think hes started to enjoy it. This time last year I was doing C25K, time flying by..! Funny how I missed Laura telling me what to do. Now I don't listen to anything, not even music.

Yeah I got damp to on my long run. Bit windy too 🌧💨

Ticked all my runs off this week 🙂. Hurt myself doing exercises at home 😬. Been on painkillers since ☺️ Toe nail off and a big blister on next toe, which I could do without

Been hedge cutting all afternoon and shredding so I hope I don’t ache too much tomorrow

Have a great week everyone 😃👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

After my 10 mile the other Sunday have only managed a few 5k this week so feeling a bit flat. On leave but at home for the next couple of weeks so hoping to put a bit more of a plan in place (have been looking at HM plans and thinking I can do that). Keep reminding myself that run is better than no run.

Didn't do the park run I had planned, mainly because I couldn't find my barcode. However, still got in the runs I needed to do.

Same again this week.

What a great pic 🥰. I’m not quite sure how/when I’m going to squeeze my runs in this week. Every morning we’re up early and volunteering as boat support for the triathlon competition that is on for 5 days as part of the Western Canada Summer Games. It feels great to volunteer and be part of something huge to our local community but it does make fitting in my runs a bit more challenging this week. Oh well. I’ll do what I can and realize running in the afternoon will be hot and slow.

That is one cute pup! I can relate, after today’s wet run (which I quite liked). I will be relating even more as I am coming up to Edinburgh tomorrow and the forecast is more rain, ain’t it Sqkr?! Have booked in a run with my sister in law, looks to be a squelchy one. 😱

I reached 18k this morning much to my joy! It went some way to clear the mind wobbles I have been having of late. Just 4 weeks to my HM, and fingers crossed, I reckon it’s game on!

Ach sorry Sadie, only just saw this! But you know the answer already 😂 Beautiful sunshine...mixed with torrential downpours. I hope you brought sunglasses and a brolly!

Oh no worries Sqkr! Yep, it has been a “glorious” few days. Yesterday I got rained on twice and also got a touch of sunburn. Crazy. But, lucked out this morning on my run as it was sunny with a nice cool wind! Rain started just as I reached home. 😊👍 Hope you get your run in!

Just sitting in my running gear watching the sky darken out the window, getting a strong sense of deja vu... Cut to an hour ago, 'it's sunny!' I cheerfully exclaimed to Mr Sqkr. 'Reckon I've got at least an hour before any rain sneaks in!'... And of course I jinxed myself, because it turned out my phone only had 12% battery and I'm now waiting for it to charge. Almost ready to go (67%...said I'd go at 75), but things are getting very chilly looking out there! Ugh Scottish August is such a pain for running. All the weathers, from the wild to the glorious, but can you predict their changes? No, you can't. And when it rains it really rains! ⛈️
