Just as Im getting my training back on track, a run uphill last Saturday has brought on my periformis syndrome again. Been in agony for the last few days. This is so frustrating and really painful, so fed up now. Anyone else in here suffer from this syndrome? Ouch!!!!!

Oh no, sorry to hear that. I don't have any wisdom to offer really, though the physio did insist on triggerpointing my butt last session which was actually rather painful, but I hope you recover really soon xxx

Commiserations. I've never had it - but I can wholeheartedly empathise on both the IC and repeated injuries fronts. Here's to better times. Speedy healing.

I had it previously but not badly... I caught it just as it was beginning and a sports massage and exercises helped. Being sat at a computer all day apparently I am more at risk as you don't stretch those muscles much. Pigeon pose is a good one or sitting on a chair with one ankle on your knee, lean forwards for 20 seconds and that can stretch the muscle too

It seems better today but scared to go running yet just in case. Thanks for your reply, it’s appreciated 👍👍

Sorry to hear. I don't get this, but the occasional flare up of plantar fascitis and arthritis in my left knee, give me the oddenforced rest. Take care to look after yourself!!

Nope not had that, but I'm very familiar with the IC! It's miserable, and then it's nerve-racking getting back out there. I'm sidelined for a couple of weeks and I hate it already so I can keep you company on the couch, budge up 😊
