Ok, I know it's too soon to know really, but if my first outing in them means anything, these Brooks Caldera 2 trail shoes are going to be my new favourites!❀️ Despite being a 'trail' shoe they are a good hybrid from what I have read and cope with pretty much all the terrain I run on (road, mud, trails and grass). I took them out for a quick spin on the local roads this evening and felt so good in them! Just needed to share with those who will understand! Can't wait to test them out properly at the weekend!πŸ™‚

Enjoy your run with your your new shoes this weekend Sandra, they look nice and comfortable, I bet you can't wait for a longer run in them, usually with new shoes you need to walk or run short distances for your feet to get accustomed to them.

Yep, that's why they are out for a couple of 5ks first and then maybe a 10k at the weekend.πŸ™‚

I do love to see noo shoes. They are very nice - and practical too with their multi use capabilities πŸ˜€. I’m storing all sorts of info for the future. These shoes will definitely be on my list of contenders.May you have many happy miles in them.

Ooh trail shoes. They look sharp! And they sound like good all-rounders. I want to look into trails at some point. May you have many happy miles in them πŸ‘Ÿ πŸ‘Ÿ

You can’t beat that new shoes feeling! I had my first run in a new pair yesterday and they felt great.

..ordinary shoes never made me feel the way running shoes do!!πŸ™‚ Are we a bit sad?πŸ˜‰πŸ˜€

Not sad at all. As I get older I don’t ask for much, but I do like a comfortable pair of shoes. πŸ˜€

A hybrid shoe sounds a good idea Sandra. Do these have arch support or for neutral runners?

Most trail shoes are neutral Dexy5, although I have had Asics Fujitrabuco's which are supposed to offer stability. These are classified as neutral I think but are well cushioned and certainly feel stable to me.πŸ™‚

Enjoy your trails Sandra.

Memo to self, gen up on the science of running and trails.

At least Brooks, well that’s a start for me.

They do look fabulous Sandra.

Trails - so good for improving balance and stability in our running (providing you don't trip on tree roots, fall over in the mud or slip on wet grass!) I probably do about half of my running on trails - so beautiful...and kinder on your joints too!πŸ™‚

That’s interesting Sandra.πŸ€”

I use my trails every Friday to Woodland Workout.

Not sure if my fastest 5k was with my trails.Must check that out.πŸ€”

Gorgeous πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ You’ll get hundreds of miles out of them I expectπŸ‘

I had the hybrid Cascadia 8 and was gutted when I had to say goodbye to them Subsequent ones were too narrow so I switched Not tried a caldera on though

Have fun in them. Bon voyage πŸ‘

Cool. I love my Brooks. I see you have lace locked too. I found I needed to wheras other makes I had worn before I didn't. Not a problem but wondered if it was someithng in the heel design.

I find I am more comfy with lace locks sometimes, although have struggled with the lace length on some Asics in the past! Thought I'd try them on these Brooks.πŸ™‚

They look lovely and squidgy round the ankle πŸ˜€ I do like Brooks. They make a good sturdy shoe, they seem able to withstand so much abuse!

I love my brooks cascadia trail shoes, but they’re a bit tiring if your run has a fair amount of tarmac. Yours look like a good hybrid for mix trail/road running - enjoy!
