Last week Wednesday 7th April I attempted to run/walk 32k, 20 miles, but gave because I felt as if I was going to collapse at 16k, 10 miles. I knew I could do 30k, 19 miles, but it still knocked my confidence to do the London Marathon. I am glad this happened now. Because it happened again I would take a rest and hope to carry on.

Run walk is a smart way of getting round that marathon distance! It got me round I walked a minute or so every 2.5 km
There will be so much going on, on the day, and people will be happy and chatty and will run alongside you and pass the time of day 🙂. All the buzz and excitement does help you and it will take your mind off the actual running. It can take you a long way 😃.
Just be sure to get your feet right. Shoes, socks, laces 😃🏃♂️👍 be sure your nails are trimmed and smoothed off
You will enjoy it I’m sure 🙂
I think runs like this help us to learn to adapt, tweak our training plans and regroup and develop strategies for the day. We have all had them! . Run walk is a good idea and also remember to start very slowly so you gave something left in the tank for later. You can do it 😎
Race day will be so much better than all the bad sessions, so experiencing this now will make race day that much easier.
