Good for you. I'm considering my first half-marathon in March but unlike you I haven't had the courage to sign up for it yet. Good luck with the training. 😀

Wahey !

Well done Roly, its all in the training and you've given yourself plenty of time to get ready. Let us know how youre going on, are you following a particular training plan ? :-) xxx

there's a couple in runners world a 10wk and a 14wk, possibly going to go with the 14 week and in the meantime continue as I am with 2 5s and a longer one at weekend ( circa 10k)

Ok I have just programmed myself into my asics and it has set up a training programme for me starting from NOW, does that sound right/ok

Yes that’s fine Roly if you put the date of your event in , it calculates all your run distances .

It’s interactive , so when you’ve completed a run , you can enter your time etc .

Let me know if you need any help :-) xxx

You can also move your run days around if needed. And the difficulty and the number of runs a week etc. Its quite flexible

You have plenty of time till June! Brilliant! I admire all these people who set themselves targets and work consistently towards them. Plus I think half-marathons are doable - now a marathon is a different matter!

Good man! I've just started a myAsics plan for a HM in March so I'm sure you will be fine.

How exciting! Will be interested to see how your training programme goes. Best of luck with it 😊

Well done on booking up! I am half way through booking my first hm in April. The training plan is underway but bereavement has delayed progress and booking at the moment. Seems there are a few of us looking towards first hm next year!
