this morning I got a new PB by 6 seconds on my 10k.... 56.24. I'm really pleased and keen to progress to my goal of a sub 2 hour HM however long that may take...

Anyone any tips on favourite interval sessions they use? I'm really keen to make weekly progress and see results!!

Happy Panthering

Speedy! Well done!

Today I did a long run (14k) where I did the first 4k easy, the next 4k at 'race pace'/tempo - ie quite a bit faster! and the last 6k easy again. Other intervals I like are 2min fast and 2 min easy (or 1 min fast/2min easy depending on how I feel) 4-6 times in an 8k run, with easy running at the beginning and end. And of course the good old 30-20-10!!

You should be able to do sub 2hrs half marathon fine with those times.

That is fantastic jj! Well done☺! I found the heat really got to me this morning when I ran 10k on my trails, so no pb here, but job done all the same☺. I'd say your goal of a sub 2hr HM is definately achievable - go you!

Ha ha doesn't she just!

Well done Ju! Congrats on your PB.

Interval wise I like :-

run like the clappers for 1k

jog a bit

run like hell for a kilometre

jog a bit

run like the wind for 1k.

If you can't run like the blazes for 1k, you either do your best, or run flat out for

half a k each time. Hard but invigorating

6 seconds is great - the etlite guys are happy with a tenth of a second off, so well done.

I used to use this every Thursday and it worked for me: audiofuel.co.uk/running-mus... although I don't particularly like running with headphones. It's on Spotify if you have Spotify.
