Does anyone know why vision drops after injection?
Both my eyes got injected yesterday. Left eye vision is okay but right eye vision drops significantly. Should I contact the doctor?
To be precise, I am sure my vision is dropped, not blurred.
Btw, what I have is myopia related wet macular degeneration.
Update: my vision has got back after 2-3 days.

If this is not the norm for you I would contact your opthalmologist, it won't hurt to ring for advice as it doesn't sound quite right to me, but then I'm no eye doctor. Good luck and let us know how you get on. x

A temporary drop in vision is generally related to a spike in ocular pressure but this usually lasts only for a few hrs perhaps.

If this doesn’t usually happen then I think it would be a good idea to ring the
Clinic, just to check it’s OK.
Best wishes .

Dear myopic-related-md,
How many injections have you had in your right eye?
If you have had more than one, does this occur each time and if so, is the drop permanent or does it then improve again?
Kind regards,

Hi! I have had the injections for a year. This is the first time I noticed vision drop. Not sure how long it will last.

did all those injections make any difference?

The previous ones are mostly Avastin. This one is Lucentis.
The drugs are working. What I learned from my experience is never skip a shot; wear sunglasses while outside; less screen time.

Dear myopic-related-md,
I would ring your ophthalmologist via their secretary with your concerns.
Was there any difference in the length in between injections on this occasion?
Kind regards

Thanks for asking! My injections are usually scheduled once a month. But there were exceptions.

I was just checking if you had waited longer for an injection on this occasion and if this may have had a noticeable impact on your vision.
As suggested, I would contact your ophthalmologist with your concerns.
Contact us if there is anything that we can help with.
Kind regards.

I waited a little longer for the injections. There is only one doctor in my county who can treat macular degeneration. I did not notice an impact on my vision.
