I'm struggling with pain and fatigue but feel my rheumatologist will not permit me to have my mabthera infusion
I have tried various combination of drugs and was finally put on
mabthera
. My new rheumatologist says he can't see swellings and sent me to have scans on my hands and feet.

Is humira safe to take? Re potential lymphoma and leukemia?
I have just started humira after reacting badly to
mabthera
. I have also previously been on methotrexate, azaoress, nivaquin abd high dose steroids to name a few. I have read some scary posts about humira causing lymphoma and leukemia, abd am quite worried.

Truxima (Rituximab) Advice please?
I’ve been feeling a bit more blurgh than usual after these infusions and just put it down to the Christmas rush prep etc, I’ve just pulled out my alert card and it says I was treated with Truxima (Rituximab) when I used to receive
Mabthera
(Rituximab).

I have been having infusions of Rituxan/
Mabthera
on and off, for about ten years. Onset of MS 1981. Has anyone had a similar experience with this drug?

Starting back on Methotrexate
My specialist has asked me to try going back on Methotrexate tablets which, together with the
Mabthera
infusions are meant to help get the chronic and out of control RA a little better. Last time I tried Methotrexate I was really sick (with both tablets and injections).

Mabthera (Rituximab)
I've just had the 2nd infusion (3 course) on Tuesday this week, but since then I seem to have gone down hill v quickly with possible side effects. I have had terrible stomach problems (stomach pain, gas, diah) and now feel totally dehyrdrated and needless to say 'fatigue' doesn't seem to be strong enough

‘Tis the season for food poisoning: a Christmas warning
So please, have a safe and enjoyable Christmas by being careful what you eat, taking particular care to avoid foods that have not been adequately refrigerated and for those under treatment or recently treated with anti-CD20 antibodies like Rituximab/
Mabthera
or Gazyva/Obinutuzumab, foods not recommended

International Working Group CLL 2015 (IW CLL 2015) Highlights
•Stephen Mulligan presented on results of safety & efficacy of the CLL 5 OFOCIR trial which compared oral FC in varying doses & schedules combined with IV
Mabthera
in elderly previously untreated patients..... a personal highlight for me - as it was the first haematology trial I ever worked on!

RA for 4years with nonstop pain
Cimzia and
mabthera
did nothing at all. Now I'm having actemra infusion every month. Nothing changed after 2 infusions. Any one felt better using actemra? How long do I have to wait to feel better?

Statistical analysis of REACH trial patients identifies Progression Free Survival prognostic factor for FCR patients
REACH (NCT0090051) was an open-label randomized (1:1) phase III trial in relapsed CLL comparing FC with FCR, (that is comparing traditional chemotherapy using Fludarabine+Cyclophosphamide, compared to immunochemotherapy in which the monoclonal CD20 antibody Rituximab/

Trouble swallowing
My rheumatologist has treated me with an immunosuppressant infusion called
mabthera
(drastic substance called rituximab) this July and my skin has softened somewhat. On the other hand, I have trouble swallowing and keeping good down. The worst is a choking feeling.

Rituximab hailed as a breakthrough for millions with Chronic Fatigue
This related article in New Scientist explains that it is [u]Rituximab/

How Monoclonal Antibodies produce lasting antitumour effects
This Hematology times article examines research into how CD 20 Monoclonal Antibodies such as
Mabthera
®/Rituximab/Rituxan (the R in FCR) and obinutuzumab/GAZYVA®, trigger macrophages to engulf and destroy our B-CLL cells when we are treated with immunochemotherapy.

To those contemplating Mabthera (rituximab) infusions
I had my first two infusions of rituximab in October and November, and by December was feeling so much better and for once Christmas was a joy instead of wiping me out with fatigue. I hadn't felt so well for years and would still be ok if I hadn't caught the lurgy after Christmas. It's still hanging

Imbruvica is on track to be a top seller for J&J and Pharmacyclics for years to come
Many are familiar to us; Imbruvica of course and Revlimid (Lenalidomide), Rituxan (Rituximab/
Mabthera
) and perhaps Gleevec (Imatinib), the drug that did for CML what we are still looking for with CLL.
