Sheffield Lupus Group now has a facebook page

Hi, everyone,

I would just like to let everyone know that Sheffield Lupus Group now has its very own facebook page. It's easy to search for on facebook.....as it's called Sheffield Lupus Group.

This site aims to be informative about what the Sheffield Group have planned and to also provide information, photos, captions etc about lupus.

It really is worth taking a look as some of the photographs really typify what it is like to have lupus, and this is done with humour too. I had a good laugh at some of the "I'm having yet another duvet day" type captions. There is also a good piece about what it is like to have a lupus flare up and what eases this a little.

Please feel free to go on this site, take a little look around and if you would like to add your comments then that would be great Perhaps other groups may have ideas that they would like to inform us about too? All ideas would be appreciated and very welcome.

We are really looking forward to getting the Sheffield Lupus Group up and running and meeting new or existing members. The date for the Sheffield Lupus Group meeting is the 23rd March at 11.30 am at The Premier Inn restaurant in Angel Street, Sheffield. Detailed arrangements re transport links etc will follow shortly.

All of this makes me realise how fab the internet is and that it's so helpful that we can all connect through this site and facebook too. How did we manage previously....ah well that's another blog post

Thank You, for all your hard work. Not been in touch, caught that virus that is 'doing the rounds' and now my Lupus is having a right old 'kick me in the teeth' time, just to let me know it is allways ready to pounce when I am not looking. Gosh no wonder it is Lupus The Wolf, sneaky. See You in March.xx

Hi yes of course. The details are as follows:

The first meeting of the re-formed Sheffield Lupus Group will take place on Saturday 23 March at 11.30am.

The venue will be the

Premier Inn and Thyme Restaurant

19 Angel Street

Sheffield

South Yorkshire

S3 8LN

Parking IS available at the venue, further details will follow.

The venue is within walking distance of the station for those that are arriving by train, however, if you would prefer, you could get the super-tram outside the railway station to Castle Square (this is next to Angel Street where the Premier Inn is located). It runs every few minutes, takes 4 minutes to reach Castle Square and the cost is £1.50 each way.

It is a first meet up so the more the merrier x
