Hi flossy 1,

I find even in winter and not much sun I've got to apply SPF 50 to ereas that are subject to flare, nuisance but better than the alternative Helps me and hope it also helps you

I'm 73 yrs old and have had lupus (mainly discoid) since I was 13 and by now have learned most ot the tricks of the trade so to speak Mostly it's the simple things that work....Good luck

stress is a big factor in flares & I think most people tend 2 have more stress round about winter time what with the weather, the cold, virus flying round that extra bit more & not forgetting Christmas & all the pennies we spend etc

Hi Cher. Looked at your profile - as new to site - you are very brave. Thanks for . advice re stress. With time, (as only just diagnosed) I will learn to recognise flare triggers as hadn't even taken christmas etc into consideration. Knew I was finding it hard to cope, but didn't think about how it would affect me. Love this site and all advice. Keep cheerful x

We r all brave honey, if we weren't, we would all just hibernate 4 the rest of our lives, it take courage 2 try & have some sort of normality while dealing with all this malarkey soi give u'reself a big pat on the back ;-)

u r, of course correct, it takes time 2 learn how each little thing affects u & u're body, we r all different & what affects 1, doesn't always affect the other, just as what works 4 1, doesn't always work 4 the other. U'll get there & we're all here 2 help & share what we can x
