blood results have change: have discoid lupus and... - LUPUS UK
blood results have change
Some DLE patients progress into SLE. You will likely require both doctors - Rheumatologist and Dermatologist.
You are on a logical path. Make a list of questions for your appointment. Disucss potential progression of your symptoms (re blood tests) and best treatment options for your particular set of symptoms.
Best to try to protect your skin as much as is possible if photosensitive. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, umbrella, ... what ever avoids triggering a flare up.
Take care and keep a positive attitude. Management is possible. Ask for help when in need. Reach out to supportive family / friends. Keep it real.
May you survive thrive and carry on.
Wow! I Could have wrote that myself! lol.
I have recently been diagnosed with discoid lupus and have been refered to Rhuematology due to a change in my blood. When do you see them? Have they said what has changed in your blood? My latest blood test have shown positive ANA results? I don't know what that means but I am also worried that it has gone systemic? My appointment is on 3rd of August. I'll let you know what they say.
