Hello. I have difficulty getting out of the bed because leg pain. Get easily fatigue, have difficulty in focusing and forget most of the things. Get usually tics when I don't get enough sleep (about 7hrs), or gets angry, fatigue or stress up. Can't get a consultation since my parents still believe all is in my head. What can I do please?

Hi, does your leg pain get better as the day goes on? I often find my joints are worse getting up but then don't bother me so much during the day. For brain fog I find writing lists or putting reminders in my calendar helps. Rest when you can and keep trying to get a consultation. It has taken most of us here a long time to get diagnosed so we all know how frustrating it is. If you are feeling stressed or angry try 3 deep breaths, or take a little break if you can. It sometimes helps me. I hope you get the help/answers you need and I wish you all the best. Take care

Fatigue and brain fog are inherent parts of almost all autoimmune disease. Brain fog is harder to deal with maybe but you might find some useful information in this post of mine - I think it is also on the Lupus forum but not sure where:

You are an adult why can't you get a consultantation ? Why do you need your parents approval ? Write everything down and go to your Dr with it.ask for full bloods Inc ANA ,Ds -dna and compliments. Have you given them Info to read ? lupus uk and John Hopkins lupus Centre are about the best .

Sorry to hear that.....my parents wouldn't dictate to me whether I got medical help or not and I wouldn't dream of denying my children medical care.without a diagnosis I'm not sure what else you can do as it sounds like treatment is needed.good luck try to educate them x

Tenisca, I understand your frustration. How long has all this been going on? You mentioned tics, what kind of tics are you having when you don't get enough sleep? Have your parents noticed them? If they see them, it may be harder for them to deny that something is going on. Also, that may be a sign of something neurological. You have been given some good advice here. Trust your instincts.

Healing hugs.
