Just had to share this wonderful picture of a dog going for a different kind of walk!.
Dog lovers can take their canine companions paddleboarding at the Bonkers Paddleboard Centre in Worcestershire!. It is called that would you believe?!. . I just had to show it to you all and hopefully it will give you smile this week. 😀

P.s, i rang podiatry and found out ive been referred to my Rheumy for the steroid injection. Im going to ring them next week and see if im on an injection/appt list and how long it might be. Podiatry will see me again next month.

Great photo misty. Dog looks like it is enjoying itself. Not something I would like to do. I can’t swim. Never been near a pool since I was pushed in the deep end of a pool when I was about 8.
Great that you have heard about your steroid injection. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long. I am so glad that I saw my rheumy last month. My local hospital is at breaking point with Covid cases. Routine appointments are being cancelled. Have an appointment with my 🌟 GP on Wednesday. Hopefully she will be able to help with the pain I am experiencing. It is awful and so is the tiredness.
Hi ge, glad you liked the pic. No, im not a good swimmer really and scared of deep end etc!. That was an awful thing to happen being pushed into deep end so young!. Awful you can't swim ge!.
I do hope your 💫gp will help you on weds. 🤞 as i know how debiliitating persistent pain is with my foot. Terrible, not being able to sleep.
Im sure our local hospital is in same position ge, its adter the relaxing of restrictions for summer!. They may have to reimpose some to help the nhs cope as this is before winter pressures!. It was obvious this was going to happen!.
Im going to ring Rheumatology to see how long to wait and if im on list. Im due my rheumy appt next month luckily so i may be able to bring it forward. So more updates next week.

I know it will be a wait and i suspect i will go back to podiatry in Oct no further forward!. Its happened before but i hope im proved wrong.
..but I fear their may be many unwanted dogs soon Misty. I was reading about some dogs bought in lock down. The Dogs Trust said it had seen a 35% increase in calls related to giving up dogs in the last few weeks, as some were reconsidering owning a dog as their circumstances had changed post-lockdown & many no longer had the time for their dogs.😒
I had a feeling this would happen after the rush to purchase a 'walking accessory' it breaks my heart! 😥

I agree. Too many people don't understand the commitment and unconditional love the our pets deserve. Pets are not accessories for selfish people's whims.

So many people had 1 or even 2 dogs in lockdowns but i so feared like you that once life became more 'normal' more dogs would be abandoned!. I just hope that 32% figure of calls doesnt increase too much as we go into autumn. 🤞😪

I think cats daisy could be the same casualties as well as dogs for the same reasons!. We humans can definitely be very selfish sadly. 😪

Sorry that Harry isnt visiting, he might return when the weather goes a bit colder before they hibernate. Miss Tiggy suddenly arrived last night under our gate and spent time snuffling round the garden. She is so sweet but is probably a he!. Ha!. We are lucky having them and my neighbours have them too!.

Fabulous photo Misty. It is lovely to see a dog enjoying life. I love being near the sea but as for getting in it not so much.My Dylan used to love a paddle but since he became blind it spooks him a bit. Brodie on the other hand hates water and refuses to go out in the rain even with his coat on. Gun dogs too 🙄. I am so sorry that you still haven’t had the injection in your foot. It really isn’t good enough . I feel so angry for you that they have let you suffer pain needlessly xxx

It is so wrong Misty. It is not rocket science is it for goodness sake. Surely any qualified Doctor could do it for you? I really do feel for you.No both boys we have had from 8 weeks old. We bought a paddling pool for them a few years back. Dylan would go in to get his ball but Brodie ran away every time we put it up. In the end Buns chewed holes in the damned thing so we had to throw it away.
I haven’t been brilliant this week I have a fever and I think I have another UTI. I hope I feel better by Wednesday as I am going with my lovely carer/ friend to a pottery lesson. I will very possibly be useless but it will be fun and I am very much in need of some.No word at all from the physio.
Two weeks ago poor Brodie started vomiting blood. We had to get him to an emergency vet, he had an acute flare up of his pancreatitis but thankfully is so much better now.
Yes I am soooo looking forward to Strictly and Bake Off xx

I do so appreciate ypur support cecily over this injection. Its just so silly when the podiatrist said he could do it and i really thought he would. Its a bit tricky having to get a particular spot on ball of my foot. I shall have to see them as they won't just agree unseen and it all takes valuable time!.
Ive put a mesdage on the Rheumy's answerphone and am awaiting a call back. 🤞 soon.

Hi Misty, yes sadly a horrible UTI, fever, back pain and sickness and I am wearing out the floor tiles in the loo lol but hopefully the antibiotics will tackle it quickly. Keep at them about your injection I find it infuriating that someone who can ease your pain just won’t get on and do it. Big Cwtches to you xxx
Oh Cecily, I'm so sorry at your UTI. Don't they always strike at the worst moments!. Do hope you feel better soon and I'm very sorry about tomorrow!. Love it Misty! Although I love anything dog related! Some of my friends do paddle boarding and I’d like to try (they find it incredibly relaxing) but I really hate depths of water so maybe I’m not the best candidate! 😬 x
Glad you did tea and toast. Im with you on the paddleboarding as i hate depths of water too. Not a confident swimmer at all. !. I guess its relaxing for your friends as you just think about paddling along!. Maybe you could try in a quiet spot?.
Love the pic! I don't think Gigi is ready. She is too exuberant and we both would end up in the water. She can swim, but I can't. Since she got over her lyme disease, she is much more energetic which is great. I hope you get your injection very soon. Foot pain is horrible and you have been dealing with it too long.

I hope i get my reward soon, as i am in a lot of pain with it. Being a non swimmer must have constrained your life.?. Im not a confident swimmer by any means though and don't miss it.

That looks like fun Helen, I love the name Bonkers paddle board centre 😂! Thanks for the lovely email and the magnesium tip, I do use the sensitive transdermal magnesium but didn’t realise you could get it with chondroitin, I’ll definitely get that one next time. Hope it works well for your mum.
