Just had steroid injection today , it’s to help calm down this year long flare , recommended /insisted by rheumatology .
I have had steroid injections before , today’s steroid goes by the name of kenolog , not sure if I’ve spelt it right . Nurse says I should start to get some relief by Sunday . 🙏
I’m posting this , as I’m just going to take a rest , has I have become very fatigued more than usual .
I was wondering if anybody else feels very fatigued a few hours after a steroid infection , has I don’t remember feeling this much of a need to lay down after previous injections . ?

Thank you for your reply , yes this morning is a bit different than usual , suppose it will have its full effect by tomorrow .
I don’t have has much joint pain as usually do on a morning . They usably help matters fir about a month , then everything slowly returns with more force than the previous .
I am to start my new treatment on Monday , after further discussion , has only just had my first covid jab , and need to build up the antibodies against covid , hence the wait for the third trial of drugs .
I will be also be starting biologic treatment soon .
Funny thing is my practice doctor said I have no priority for the covid vaccine , due to his decision I’m unable to start the treatment I desperately need . He never took into consideration that my condition is by no means stable . 🙁🤷♀️.
Oh Willow I am sorry. It makes me so angry for you. Cant your Consultant write to them? I think my GP is going to get a much needed reprimand. I attended my Respiratory appointment yesterday and the Consultant who is the Head of Department was so horrified by the inconsistent treatment, mixture of inhalers and gross overuse of steroids she actually called the asthma nurse and another colleague in to tell them. She prescribed 120 nebules for my nebuliser, two new very space age looking inhalers, a nasal spray and she will see me in two months. I had bloods and chest x rays done and her diagnosis is brittle asthma which I have been telling my surgery for months. She said you have been shockingly mishandled and we will monitor you closely until you are stabilised. Honestly I was so grateful. I really hope you get the relief you need from the injection. Big gentle Cwtches xxx
They gave me 80 mg of prednisalone but not preventer inhalers. They to,d me to reduce slowly but stay on them until I was seen by the Respiratory consultant which has taken 51/2 months. I have been on 30 mg, 40 mg almost constantly since September last year. I think it is not just England Willow, women are unsafe throughout the world. That poor young woman, what a sad, tragic world xxx
