Acumen Healthcare is currently working with Worrell Inc., an independent research company specialising in healthcare to carry out a formative research study of an auto injector device for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
Worrell Inc. are looking to speak to adolescents (12 – 17years old) who have been diagnosed with SLE and those who provide care for people with SLE, to attend their research facility to evaluate the use of injector devices for administering medication at home.
During this study, participants will be introduced to an injector device and will be asked to inject into a specialised pad, so they will not actually need to inject themselves or anyone else. Participants will be asked on their thoughts about the injection experience using the device.
The study session will be video and audio recorded for documentation purposes. All responses given during the interview will be kept strictly confidential.
Participants will be invited to either a 60-minute session or a 90-minute session. The 90-minute session will consist of 30 minutes training, 60 minutes break and 60 minutes evaluation (2 hrs 30 min in total).
The research will be taking place on Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th December & Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th & Monday 14th December and will be in person.
As a thank you for taking part, participants will receive between £60-£100 depending on the session they attend.
