Well I’m not too upset now because I’ve accepted that I work for extremely selfish, heartless people 😡

I have not sent my grievance yet because I don’t have the head space for it.

I feel utterly discriminated against because they know I have an illness thus most likely makes them question if I am competent enough to work from home.

Honestly life with this type of illness is a life sentence without others making you feel like you just ain’t good enough .

My moto is now, if I’m not good enough to work for you at home, then I’m not good enough to work for you in the office” I feel so degraded when they have young apprenticeships working from home.

A phone call or anything to say they don’t want me to be under pressure but no just this because I said I would not work in the office to protect my own health and my children’s. Very disheartening 😔

Hi Lisalou19,

It is very sad to hear how you have been treated by the Company that you work for.

There should not be different work conditions for certain members of staff, everyone is in this together and deserve to be treated in a human way. Everybody should be able to work from home, that is the golden rule to contain this ugly virus. To put you and your family at risk is absolutely shocking.

Does not say a lot for your bosses! Nobody's life should be meaningless to them. No wonder it is eating away at you.

You do what's best for you and your family. This ugly virus takes no prisoners, we all must fight it to control the spread

NO job is worth giving up your life for, ever.

You stay strong, you are not alone. Keep Safe. x

Sorry if your in the same boat 😕. I know most people would be happy to get paid to do nothing but that’s not the case when you have an illness that just keeps hammering a way at you and as for me causes a lot of self doubt. X

Really feel for you here, how anyone can be so cruel especially at this time is not on. I know it's hard just now but long term you'll be better off out of there and away from such a despicable boss and company. Personally when you're up for it I'd go public with it all, might make you feel better in the long run too. Look after yourself and take care.

Blessings Lisalou, In this time of unprecedented urgency, for life, and health, the safety of your life and your children's, and loved ones, it is more important than a job... A Company like that, does not deserve you!! By staying home, you are doing the right things, and you can tell them that the World Health Organization said so... Please I commend your decision, to put life before harm.. For you Lisalou, " The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Your heart told you the truth about your job.. Bless you. and all my prayers, and peace to you and your loved ones. thestormy sunshine:)

Feel for you. Where i work all office staff bar 2 are working from home, some are at home looking after their children. There have been meetings the last couple of days and loads have been told to go home, don’t know if they are being furloughed. They have been told hr will contact them if needed to come in. Have you not been furloughed ?if not try ringing acas to see what your options are, i fear that this coronavirus will just end up letting employers get rid of employees. Take care.

I have been furloughed, which I know I should be grateful for In this current client, but it would appear it is only me!!! Every other worker has been delivered computers and headsets but not me. I was more than happy to work from home and kept asking which was ignored. I have a message recognising I’m vulnerable and that I have work to do in the office 🤦‍♀️ As soon as I said I’m not to put my health or my children’s at risk so will work from home, I got furloughed. Something really screams at me that they feel I need a baby sitter to do my job!!!!! X

Think that’s called victimisation, that is disgusting. There are employment laws in this country for a reason, obviously your bosses don’t follow the acas code of conduct. Ring them i’m sure they will be able to help. So annoyed about the a hole bosses who think this is acceptable behaviour because you have an illness beyond your control. I am spitting feathers aagh
