Made to Measure Arm and Hand Warmers

I found two balls of rather fancy wool and silk Japanese yarn. Each ball was exactly enough for one warmer. It’s a chunky yarn, knitted in rib, and reaches from near elbow to tips of fingers, with a cunning thumb slit.

Ideal for dog walking! I stick my thumb through the slit and can fold down the finger part for poop picking up. Otherwise I’m covered ( by warmth, not dog business)

So, the brain can work sometimes. Cubic needle tips help the hands too.

Lupiknits, very lovely! I’ve never used arm and hand warmers, but I love leg warmers so I’m sure these are wonderful to use on very cold days (and nights). Never thought of arm warmers. Now I’m going to be thinking of them come this January and February.

Wrist warmers are really really helpful for cold hands. I just found I had enough to go up the arms too, so thought I’d use it all up. These can be rolled up as cuffs of course, too.

Lupiknits, you are so brilliant! Love the colour and the discrete thumb hole! I find fingerless gloves and wrist warmers invaluable with my lupus. Happy Christmas, with very best regards, Lily

The mindless blanket is on the tips at the moment. It’s knitted in the round, so is double sided. In the round means no boring purling or counting! It uses up leftovers.

If you’re very brave, you make it an insane blanket by putting all the leftovers in a black rubbish bag and must use the next yarn you pull out, no matter what colour. I’m often insane, but not at the moment, so vaguely pleasing stripes.

It’ll be finished in 2021. Possibly 🤣

Hmmm....a much smaller but insane dog blanket is calling my name now 🤪
