Developing a new me 😬. Just 5 minutes away I can take the girl out of the city and into the open 😊

Slowly finding ways to help me manage with symptoms and to help heal my mental state.

I took this photo for some of you lovelies. Literally the greenery goes as far as the eye can see. I can walk and feel free. No hills πŸ‘ŒπŸ½ And a bench to sit on every 5 minutes πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

This place was made for me. Fresh clean air.

Ok I’m the only person not walking a dog @ 8am in the mornings but I do get the opportunity to feel my freedom with my 3 children. Maybe I could put them on a lead πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Small steps for man kind = a giant leap for lisalou 😘x

no benches here, no walls to rest on, but I do have a dog. :) walking helps clear my mind, I just wish my feet didn't hurt so much. enjoy yourself

Oh them painful feet, I get that too.

I wear really ugly walking trainers but they are comfortable. I can’t do any incline because it sets the pain off in my feet and calves. And I don’t go out during the warmer periods of the day. The heat sends my feet crazy. The grass is really soft where I walk .

Do you know what causes your painful feet? Any triggers that you are aware of?

Well done for continuing to walk , through a clearer mind we can achieve so much xx

Hi Lisalou19

I was reading your response and you mentioned the painful feet and calves, yours is the first mention of this I’ve come across. I too have the god awful pain in my feet and calves, I can hardly get down the stairs in the mornings and after any test β€˜boom’ there’s that pain again, do you have any idea what’s causing it ? I’d be very interested to know your thoughts.

Many thanks

Hello Caroline,

I did have an mri which showed tendinitis.

I’m not a sporty active person so it doesn’t make sense to have this.

Any small incline causes horrendous pain. So I avoid at all cost!

I have been told it could be a sign of muscle inflammation but that has not been confirmed

my feet is down to several things. osteoarthritis, plantur fasciitis, "stone bruises" which can be inflammation caused by loss of collagen on balls and heels of soles, numb patches, burning feet, Reynolds and possible metatarsalgia, and not forgetting good ole fibro. and the only pain killers I can tolerate are paracetamol :( it's a case of mind over matter, I could just give up standing and walking or I plod on and stuff my shoes with insoles.

Good on you for using a positive mind.

The pain is deliberating, but if we allow it , it defines us as a person.

I think your amazing xx

Wonderful! I know what you mean about children on leads, lol. My walks are short and so I know every wall I can lean against or sit on. I can’t yet get anywhere as pretty but my neighbours have lovely gardens. Today I stopped to smell some beautiful roses. That was a heart joy πŸ’πŸ’

Mother nature..oh yeah..it's soooo good to get into space..away from the hustle n bustle..lots of benches..soft grass..fresh air..loads of sky..soothing for mind body n spirit..good for the soul!! 🌿🌳🌾🌻

Unfortunately I don't get out much now but I had a sit in my garden on midsummers Eve n we live next to school field..I sat under the hawthorn tree that's giving wonderful shade n I saw a fox..it trotted along the field..n stopped n had a look around a couple of times..it was so relaxed n looked in good shape too!! What a delight that was for me..wonderful!!! 🦊

It lifts the spirits for sure when we tend to spend much of our time in the shade what with all the symptoms that go along with this autoimmune stuff

U go girrrrllll!!! πŸ’πŸŒ·πŸ¦‹πŸπŸžπŸŒπŸΏοΈπŸ¦πŸŒΊXx
