New rash and other symptoms

Has anybody had this type of rash? This happened after a bath today. I do seem to be intolerant to heat and often wake up with mild chest rash also after a bath but never had this on my arms before. Not sure if I'm having a flare, also recently had leg swelling, aching, tingling, joint pains, headaches and this morning woke up to coughing up small amount of fluid and sore chest/lungs all day?

Hello i get this same exact rash in the bath. I get it on my arms, chest, stomach and legs. I have been having alot of your symptoms aswell. Not sure what is wrong with me yet though. Your not alone sorry i couldnt be of more help maybe someone might have the answer i would be interested to find out too! So thank you for posting.

Hi thanks for replying. It's good to know other people get this too, I've been used to face and chest rashes for some time but this one is new. I have been diagnosed with UCTD and just when you get your head around symptoms, new ones pop up and throw you off guard! I hope you find out what's wrong soon.

Me & water dont mix very well. I love it but it causes all sorts of strange rashes.

Was told by dermatologist the hot water is helping to circulate the blood better. That's the only help I've ever got x

That's interesting, I have an appointment with Rheumatology on 6th June, I'll show them the photo. Thanks for replying, always good to know we're not alone with all this weird stuff! X

I get this on upper body regularly, usually accompanied by 24hr sore throat, then sinus congestion & chesty cough & increased fatigue. Rash isn’t sore or itchy, I only know it’s there when I see it in mirror or someone comments. Medics can’t offer an explanation. I know for me I’m having a flare. Sorry I don’t have more to offer.....

Interesting to hear how hot water affects different people- I often get weird rashes or mottled skin after being in the bath and sometimes feel unwell after having a bath (I’ve had to stop having them while I’m having a flare).

It’s good to take photos- you can show this to your rheumatologist on your next appointment and see what their thoughts are. Hope you feel a little better soon

Thanks yes it's good to hear other people's experiences. I always take photos of anything new, it's the only way to prove it's real when you go to Rheumatology appointments! 😊

I have similar rash in same place - only slightly more tiny dark pin prices and tiny indentations my hubby says - petechiae - and only on my arm muscles. I haven’t bothered to show my doctors tbh because it’s faded a little over the past few weeks. But it’s constant not just after baths - seems to come with slight armpit ache when I’m flaring. I have photos to show the dermatologist in July. I love being warm but it’s so hard to achieve just now - mostly freezing so I love baths just to re set my thermostat.

Yes I have to have a bath to warm up sometimes! My raynauds has got a lot worse the last 2 winters, even now the weather is changing I'm still wearing 3 layers. The only time I'm warm is in bed, I'd love to wear a duvet 😂. I also get armpit aches when I feel unwell, I've often wondered what that is? I'll show the Rheumatologist the rash photo but I think it's maybe heat intolerance. New symptoms appearing all the time at the minute 🤔

I get this sort of thing with showers, though I have never liked hot ones, so I don’t think the temperature has much to do with it. The only part that get itchy though, is my feet.

It didn't itch but it did feel a bit like prickly heat? It was gone after about an hour. Strange!

Strange indeed. I honestly want to take Brillo pads to my feet for about 5 mins, then it passes.

Hi thanks for replying. I had been outside hanging washing out in the morning but fully clothed/covered so not sure? Yes I get the feverish and face/chest rash at night too.

I have a rash like that on both sides of my neck and on my right tricep area. I've had it on and off for 6 years. Not sure exact of cause but my pcp feels it's related to autoimmune issues - most likely Lupus or Dermatomyositis.
