Results

Got Rituximab in March and when I was at the hospital 2 weeks ago my kidney function was stable and things looking ok, got bloods done then and recieved my letter from the hospital yesterday to say there'd been a slight decline in kidney function as creatinine level had shot up. It's one step forward and two back just now, anyone else have experience of this or just experience of results going up and down like a yoyo before things got better. Talk about knocking you for six.

It partly depends on a few factors - like were you dehydrated at all when the blood sample was taken plus what did you have for dinner the night before! If you'd had a high protein meal, big steak for example, and gone for a fasting bloods appointment the two factors together are enough to make a significant difference to the result. Little drops of water, little grains of sand and all that!

It's a hard one for me as I can't over do it with liquid as I take furosemide but then again I need to be hydrated too
