Cancer update

Sorry not on for a while. I had to rush my husband into hospital yesterday. We were told that his cancer has spread all over his abdominal organs. The damage is too much . He is starting chemotherapy tomorrow but this is just as a palliative measure. Once again thank you everyone for your support

So sorry to hear that. I know it will be difficult but just try to get as much good nutrition into your hubby as possible. In whatever form you can. Willpower can do amazing things sometimes, and people have turned around the most outrageous odds.

Dear Josie, please take good care of yourself and accept whatever help you are offered. When my husband was in a similar situation, many people offered help but I was too overwhelmed to know what to do. Finally I assigned two help-organizers -- one for work and one for neighbors, and told them the evening meal was hardest for me. They organized dinner rotations, so we had a hot meal arrive every night. We also felt surrounded by people's affection. They said it helped them to feel there was something they could do in this heartbreaking situation. As others have said, we are here for you, too. I wish I could bring you dinner.
