My new venture. I've finally found something that takes away the focus of pain.

Thank you. I'm happy playing about. I've just finished the start of a painting but I need to take more and longer breaks. I know better. But I get lost in playing.

"I get lost in playing " is my favourite expression now. Go for it! x

I'm a knitter, using adapted needles. I don't often follow patterns, but like to experiment. Freeform knitting can be fun!

Well done YOU! That's not easy an easy task with physical issues or without and oh so clever!

My Mum Knit and Crocheted. She made up patterns too. I remember her having magazines using her patterns on the cover of the magazines. Of course I didn't realise that was so cool. Now I can't believe how good she was and I didn't get it.

👍👍👍👍 i have: usually head up my posts with something i’ve “caught”... my hands stuff got even worse after i took redundancy on health grounds, so i’ had to stop using my trusty big SLR (i took photos as part of my job)...so i got a tiny a tiny digital canon which has been a good friend for years now...but last spring a friend convinced me i needed a decent zoom, so at the mo am getting to a bigger canon...am hoping to include a pic from it with my next post 😉😘💐

Love it!!! I m so impressed.

It’s so peaceful working to create something from nothing right? I make jewelry and started designing cards. When I sent one to my mom, she thought I bought it. Lol.

I don’t care... anything to think of something else

Where did you get your inspiration?

Thank You so much, it seems a lot of us are creative, I wonder if that has anything to do with our illness??? Using a certain part of the brain, hormones controlling the body etc... hmmm

Show us some of your work!

Inspiration, because I've never painted before I'm still learning so just got it from YouTube. But I'm starting a new one off that design. So getting there and having fun!

Hi again Ladyutl😊🌸🌿🦋

I’m so glad to see you are able to express your feelings via art.

I’m an idle multi medium artist (4+years now) and oh how I miss it so!!!!! My mobility is very limited and I only get cat 🐈 naps due to painsomnia so what little energy I have evaporates quickly.

Is your painting oil? I did oils in my teens but I’m allergic to them now. I do acrylics and watercolors. I have only a few paintings left as I gave most of them away as gifts. I would post them but I don’t know how.

I love painting so much. It’s relaxing... and yes it is easy to get so engrossed in it that time flies and when pain sets in it’s too late for a break...it’s time to recover. Keep up the great work and pace yourself for sure. What I started doing was writing my next planned steps down on a white erase board so when interruptions occurred I would be able to follow through with my next creative thoughts. Back then I was caregiver to 5 loved ones and worked full time plus still did everything else (bills domestic duties parenting maintenance yard work canning cooking).

I had only a few minutes to paint so I did watercolors as I didn’t lose my materials like I would with acrylics.

When my mom mysteriously took ill I had to stop all my crafting and fine arts. Once my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and when Poppa suffered a terminal brain injury I brought mom to my home and full time caregiving ensued. That caused my health to deteriorate and now my artistic outlet is doing colorful emojis on this forum. I’m battling a severe virus and not up to the emojis... sorry.

Continue to do your creative expressions in whatever way possible for as long as possible.

Thank you for sharing your painting very expressive my dear. You’re very talented.

😊🌸🌿🦋🤗💗😘🙏

Oh my goodness Honeybug, I don't know what to say.... I feel so guilty for anything I complain about when someone like yourself and others are suffering so. I am truly sorry you can't create any longer. That just breaks my heart. I know what's it's like to lose creating. But luckily I got it back just in a different way.

I didn't know how I could post it either but... you just go to make a post and at the bottom of the message box there's 'add a photo' I hope that is correct. If not anyone reading this please correct me so Honeybug can post her lovely deaigns!

I'll post a Mystical looking one that you can print or have someone print for you.

I've been in creating since I was about 10 had my first business selling macramed jewlery when I was 14. Family business for 17 yrs, textile design/craft/mixed medium etc.

Be as well as you can, sending a big gentle hug.

Lesa

Wow, that’s fantastic Ladyuponthelake!

Really sets your imagination going!!

I love art too. Feels like a constant companion for me when experiencing such a changeable condition.

I kind of go into a trance like zone when I work, I really have to be mindful of not overdoing it as I feel the pain x10 if I’ve overdone it when I come ‘back in the room’, so to speak!

I love your choice of autumnal colours-my favourite.

Does your piece have a name?

It really is stunning, well done :)

Xxx

Thank you and no, haven't named anything yet. Will put that on my list of to do's.

See there are so many of us that are creative. It really does get my mind going on how the brain and disease work. Are there common factors between us? 🤔 hmmm food for thought.

Be Well today 🙋‍♀️🧚‍♀️🌼🌻
