constant throwing up ??? I over heat and sweat loads then I am as sick as a dog stopped nsaids so its not those as stopped them over 6months ago , does any one else get this with my MILD lupus (notes sarcasm on mild bit) xx

Have they checked your thyroid? The autoimmune diseases sometimes visit together...I noticed when the lupus thing came around, that my thyroid acted up and went over to the hyper or over medicated side...I got hot and sweaty then...Im usually hypothyroid...

Nausea is utterly horrible. Up to now, mine seems to be especially sensitive to steroid/cortisol levels. Always nauseated if they are too low, but also when they are going up or down steeply. Overheating is usually part of the same thing for me too - I do find it can hep (with the nausea) to be quite careful over body temp eg a warm bath often helps a lot as you can adjust your temp easily and precisely in a bath just by poking more or less of yourself out of the water! x

Dear Amanda, yes nausea is a key symptom of mine and I get it with high fever symptoms like you and an escalation in pain. It is really the pain that is the trigger for me. I have two types of prochloroperazine: the first is 3mg tablets which just dissolve under the gum and because my nausea can spiral to uncontrollable this anti-emetic can also be injected. I used to have a local doctor on emergency callout then community nurses come and inject for me but I now self-inject. Hopefully, the 3mg tablets which are on prescription will work for you but let me know if this is not enough. By the way I am assessed as having severe lupus. With very best wishes Lily.

Hi. I am not on any medication but do find this lupus makes me fell nauseous also the hot fever like sweating, I usually find I want to eat & eat when in bed. I did take medication many years ago but nothing helped. I do hope you find something to help you
